So he fought a Ornelas and a shot Roy Jones.

You think you are neutral but I sense a bit of hostility from you towards Hopkins. Maybe because you are a Chad Dawson fan? See my last post above for reasons why B-Hop doesn't have to fight Chad Dawson.

Question, how is Hopkins, a 45 year old part-time fighter who doesn't hold any Official world-titles like Ring Magazine, WBC, WBA, WBO or IBF, how is he keeping Chad Dawson down in any way? It's not ducking if he isn't the champ of the division, Dawson is the champ.

Doesn't Dawson have a fight with Pascal in like August? Bute is an obviously great opponent for bernard at this point and it makes more money than anyone else.

Kelly Pavlik and Bute don't even fight alike, I doubt BHOP could do that to Bute. Bute has hand-speed and pop. Not that Pavlik is slow but he definitely isn't fast compared to the likes of fighters in Butes caliber.

But is obviously MUCH better than pavlik and is far more skilled, so it would be a tough fight for the old man no doubt about it. Bute is slick, has great movement and very fast hands oh yeah, and power. Pavlik is a straight forward moving, slow guy with only power.

If BHOP beats Bute, I'd give him alot of credit depending on how he did it.*for that fact, how either of them does it since both have been known to use clinching tactics* If he has to do that clinching ****, then I think thats pretty damn lame.

Though both BHOP and Bute have had bad performances where they clinch to win. Butes being that first fight with Andrade, that was an ugly messy fight and I personally blame Bute for it. In the rematch, he dismantled Andrade and didn't clinch once. But the thing about that is, Bute knew alot about Andrades style from the first fight and thats probably why the rematch was so easy for him.

Bute is still a great win if BHOP does beat him. I'm just not sure if BHOP can do it. And if they do fight, I wonder if either one of them will try that dirty nasty not fun to watch excessive clinching style. And will we be able to tell which fighter is the one initiated the clinches?

As far as I've seen BHOP fight, he always fights guys who have fast-hand speed by clinching. In my opinion this isn't much to do with his age then it is that he could never really handle hand-speed from opponents well.

You point at BHOP'S age yet I didn't see the old-man clinching the hell out of pavlik! Though I know that you might say again that its the skillset and Bute's skills surpass those of Pavliks but I still say that Bhop has always had problems with fighters who have quick-hands. It's his kryptonite.

What does this have to do with GBP:

Hopkins sat around ducking Dawson and fighting the Ornelas's of the world when Dawson and even Williams wanted a fight. That has nothing to do with GBP. Yet he fights a shot Roy Jones in a heartbeat.

And in Mosleys case he turned down Berto earlier in the year, Williams and Clottey. That had nothing to do with GBP.

Hopkins doesn't want to face Dawson b/c he knows after he will be pushed in the 6ft hole with Jones. Instead he wants to face Lucian Bute, and he needs to quit with this provide for my family BS he's rich.
