Is "The Heavyweight Division is Dead" a myth?

And to follow up on my last post.
I think Tyson could very well knock Wlad out, I can easly see that. I get the arguement, none of Wlad's opponents have had the tools or ablities of a prime Tyson.
But that arguement goes both ways, neither has Tyson ever faced a 6'7, 260 guy with the boxing style of a Klitschko.
So if we put odds on it, along with the "styles make fights" analogy, Wlad is more likely to win than Tyson. It's not a 50/50 thing, it's more like 70/30 in favor of Wlad winning. If they fought 10 times, Wlad probably wins in boring fashion 9 out of 10, jabbing and grabbing his way to victory.
Tyson has his work cut out for him reaching in like he has never reached against the biggest opponent he's ever faced.Comment

Seriously, this sh** is really pissing me off, it's completely untrue.
THE MOST POPULAR FIGHTER IN THE UNITES STATES IS MANNY PACQUIAO, A 5'5 FILIPINO MAN.
People don't like lack of competition, which is the state the heavyweight division is at, that's why no one cares. That's why people rip on the fighters Tyson and Holmes fought in the 80's. Combine that with the safe, non exciting style the Klitschkos employ, it's no wonder.Comment

Not that there's no good fighters there, just not many exciting ones. I have no problem with the Klits ruling together, but some have gotten bored of their dominance.Comment

It's my opinion that a shorter, stockier, faster, more vicious opponent like Tyson has a better chance against the bigger guy. Factor in the fact that you could argue Tyson has more punching power. So let's fairly weigh out the stats and see if we can agree. And to follow up on my last post.

Would you agree to the following:
Tyson is faster.
Tyson is harder to hit that a taller opponent.
Tyson has better hand speed.
Tyson has better combo's.
Tyson has equal or near equal power.
Tyson can pull the trigger faster.
Think Pit Bull Vs Great Dane.
I'll take a 60lb pit over a 100lb Dane anytime.
Neither Klitschko has ever faced any fighter with those attributes, and I think those attributes win fights, not so much purely size.
Of course any fight can go either way but in this case I feel that Mike has much more ability and attributes that will make this a tough fight for the Klits.
That jab is dangerous but I'm not convinced that he'll be able to land it easily.Comment

"the heavyweight division is weak" says klitschko-haters.....
i dont think its weak... i just think no one right now has a chance against a klitschko..... not even haye...... people dont like klitschko cause there boring... i can see that, but if you think there bad boxers... then your are really ******, they are one of the greatest technical boxers of all time (more wlad than vitali, vitali is a slugger, wlad is more technically skilled)
as for the tyson-wlad bout....
yes mike could knock out wlad, easily... im not going to argue that... 1 good punch from mike to wlad's chin= out cold....
but then again... mike had trouble with tall fighters.... especially tall fighters with good jabs (i wonder who that is....... wladimir klitschko) and i could see wlad winning UD............Comment
