Oscar De LeHoya: What has he ever done to warrant ATG status?

He was average. And Vargas barely impressed when he fought him. Why are you even going with this BS?? Vargas was nearly stopped in his next fight after Tito by a washed up Wilfredo Rivera. Then he was hurt in his fight after that by his sparring partner. Come on, man.Comment

Mosley was never a good 154lber. Never. What's your point? Yeah, Vargas looked real awesome that fight with his eye doing its best Hasim Rahman imitation.Comment

In terms of exposure maybe but I can't say that was one of Mayweather's most impressive victory's based on when it happened. Delahoya had already been beaten too many times at that point.Comment

Oscar was a very good fighter and a huge cash cow, a 1st ballot HOFer but not an ATG by any means.....he lost just about all of his biggest fights and ppl say losses don't change the fact the a fighter is accomplished this is true but your losses are part of your career which is the legacy you display.
Losing to the Pacman pretty much disqualifies him as an ATG if he was borderline up until that point, the dream match was supposed to be a demolition on Oscar's part and he ended up getting beaten to a pulp and quit.Comment

But yet he became a World Champion at the weight? lol This is a HOF fighter we are talking about facing Vargas. A boxer WITH POWER. Jesus!!
And if it wasn't for that the fight would of went the 12th. Maybe even with Vargas winning. That a ruined fighter??Comment

Actually Vargas should not have lost to a guy that spent most of his career at 135,147, and had never been impressive at 154. Vargas made his mark at 154. That was his division. Of course Vargas was still a force but not even close to what he was pre Trinidad.Comment
