I've made several posts where I said AA committed a blatant foul. I don't think there's any controversy there or at least none I find worthy of debating.

It was a foul punch thats a fact. Wheter Dirrell was overacting is much more interesting.

What can I say? Perhaps it's a different standard in the US. Maybe because healthcare isn't free they don't keep anybody for precautionary reasons? They do where I live.
Our healthcare system is big business in America, it's not like where you live, not by a long shot.

But again, that's besides the point bat. If the test results came back negative and the doctors didn't feel he was in any danger, I see no problem here.

As far as the sample goes they didn't deliver it on time. Big deal since some PED's are out of your suystem within an hour (I've read an artivle written by a doctor on this lol).
Come on bat, don't even go there! Accept defeat & stop being so shameful!

AA got out-boxed, out-classed and he threw a DQ punch. Regardless if you or anyone else things dirrell was faking it, he lost the fight, fairly. Stop reaching man and let it go.

AA is still in first place, be happy about that at least.

Natas Dirrell deserved the win for sure. He schooled Abraham in a highly entertaining fight. I'm mad at Abraham for denying us the last 5 minutes which was building up to be ridiculously exiting.

regarding the dopingsample it's really just me relaying german thoughts on the matter. I don't think this was a planned sophisticated swindle at all.

Maybe. Both have to make it to the semis for us to find out though.
Did you ever see Simon Brown-Vincent Pettway? I suggest you watch that because it refutes everything you're saying about Dirrell. And Brown didn't stay in the hospital overnight.

The one where he keeps jabbing after being KTFO? That wasn't really seizure like was it?

wasn't that fight in the states?

You'd expect Dirrell to be rushed to the hospital for a long stay right?

                Wrong.

He was there for a mere 3 hours.

                So now you're a doctor...

                Two nights, not three...

While you're on your witch hunt...

How the **** can you compare those two KO's - let alone that we're talking about TWO individuals?! Two different people, two entirely different KO's.

Taylor was hit on the mental nerve with a hard straight right hand. Abraham had his weight into that shot.

Also, prior to his opening fight against Abraham, Taylor had already suffered three losses out of four fights (two by brutal KO's!). He was already vulnerable.

You can black out without having a concussion. You can also get hit in the head, not feel anything and die from internal bleeding four minutes after getting struck. What is your point?

Why don't you guys look at the entire picture instead of small fragments.

thought @ work, for **** sake...

I jsut checked the newspaper reports on that fight and it appears that it's believed that Brown had a short seizure. He stayed in hospital for 2½ hours and the CAT scan came out negative. Although this fight was some 15 years ago it indicates it not being standard in the US to keep concussed fighters overnight. I'm a bit surprised, but we can all get wiser.

                  Here's an article:

But Brown's words of reassurance came after a stunning, if not frightening, scene Saturday night that led to Brown being taken to a nearby hospital and given a CAT scan. "It was really a blessed outcome given what happened in the ring," Brown's brother, Fred, said. "Everything turned out normal. There was nothing that indicated a need for concern."

Steven Manekin, a neurosurgeon at ringside who said he is affiliated with the Maryland State Athletic Commission, said, based on "the movement of his extremities" while he was unconscious on the canvas, he believes that Brown suffered a seizure. Manekin said Brown was unconscious "a minute or two" and that the seizure ended in seconds. Brown was administered oxygen in the ring, then was examined by doctors, including Manekin, in the locker room for almost an hour.

Neither doctors nor Brown's family determined an ambulance was needed, so a friend of Brown's drove him to Doctors Community Hospital in Lanham, accompanied by Brown's wife, Lisa, and Brown's brother. A hospital spokesper son said yesterday she could not confirm that Brown was treated because records of any visit could not be retrieved until today. Fred Brown said his brother remained at the hospital for "about 2 1/2 hours," then returned to the fight headquarters hotel in New Carrollton, where the Browns were staying.

Good find Bat. Goes to show it's not uncommon at all. Which is really kind of sad if you think about it and reflects on our poor health system.
