If you read the thread it appears that it's standard procedure in the US to perform some neurological tests and if they are ok you're sent home. It's different in germany and Denmark but so it is.

      You cannot conclude that.

So I was brought to hospital for magnetic resonance tomography and computer tomography. Although I felt okay after some hours they kept me 3 days and I always had to wear some heartbeat detection... so decide on your own.
well if you would have read the thread you would have seen where Bat posted an article about one of the most brutal KO's ever and the guy was only at the hospital for a short time. So yeah, your argument is invalid.
The point is that you take a incalculable risk, when u get that early out of the hospital. Every boxer knows that and would stay there, if he knows the knockout was badass. If a blood vessel is damaged, but not cut - and you don't see that magnetic resonance tomography - you stay of course in the hospital for some days. If the blood vessel opens you can be dead within some minutes. No fighter with a brain left, would take such a risk. Fact.

Listen, I was personally with a friend of mine who took a nasty fall right on his head, he was knocked out cold. He was talking within about one minute. He had a bad headache so we took him to the hospital. They did all the tests necessary and we were out of the hospital in 2 hours.

Was my friend knocked out cold? Yes. Does that mean he had a concussion? Yes. Did he need to stay in the hospital for 3 days? NO.

Obviously jermain taylor had been brutally KO'd and was also brutally KO'd 2 out of the 3 fights leading into that fight. Totally different bro-ham.
            Good post. Very true.

Having seen it dozens of times now,it does look a bit suspect. AA is a hard puncher, but not so long ago plenty of people here doubted that he would be as powerful at 168,and now he is king kong by dint of kayoing jermain Taylor? He isnt exactly known for his punch resistance is he?

If your were to believe a lot of the posters here and hadnt seen the fight, then you would be led to believe that he caught a full blooded shot, but if you watch it you see that it was only a glancing blow. The punch looked pretty half assed tbh,and if it had caught him anywhere near 100 percent, then maybe it would have knocked him out.

It looks dodgy as hell, and if catching the edge of a half assed punch from somebody results in AD getting kayoed followed by all the nonsense afterwards, then maybe he better change careers.

And before the usual spastics start chiming in,no this doesnt excuse AA,and the result was correct.

You know they were in Detroit right? To you, if you were to go to a Detroit hospital, you would be convinced you were in some 3rd world country.

But on the reals, if they ran all the proper tests and they all came back negative (just like my friend) why keep him overnight?

I don't know, maybe you're a doctor Bat and I'm not aware of that and you have expert knowledge on head trauma, concussions, seizures and the likes, so maybe you know something we don't. But if you're not a doctor, then perhaps your assumptions are baseless and hold no water.

Ricky Hatton looked like he DIED in the ring against Pacquiao and he was up and chatting with people like nothign happened moments later. Did he stay at the hospital overnight? Oh ****, nope he didn't!
