Cotto did beat Mosley and he gets credit for that but he is 154 now so I dont know why even bring him up? The point here is that Shane has the best resume as a Welterweight because he beat the guy who was #1 (Margarito) and others. While Pacquiao went after Cotto (Who Margarito had just destroyed) and beat him at a catchweight. So that doesnt even count

a PRIME Undefeated version of Cotto beat Shane (in a close fight).

Pac beat a destroyed version of Cotto. The same Cotto who had guys like Freddie Roach and Teddy Atlas wondering if Cotto was past it...especially after seeing his performance against Clottey (who also shut it down in that fight).

Shane had a layoff because he could not get a top level fighter to fight him which included asking Pac for a fight all of last year. Although, there was the possibility of fighting Paul Williams though...but Pac's in the same boat with Shane with regards to Williams

Show me proof he didn't fight the same Margarito.

Margarito couldn't even get off his punches because the speed of Shane was too much. That's what the difference was. Shane attacked and attacked and kicked his ass. Actually, what ended the fight was that brutal body-shot very early in the fight. Game Over after that.

Pac beat a corpse in Oscar and an E.R. patient in Cotto. At least Margarito was alive.

And instead of fighting Shane, he fought a beat up Hatton prior to Cotto.

Shane is the man right now.

Becuase he beat the man (Margarito) who was the man because he beat Cotto. So I dont get how you can say "Shane lost to Cotto and Pacquiao beat a shot Cotto at a catchweight so he is better". That's just a totally flawed argument because Shane beat the man who destroyed Cotto before Pacquiao.
