I mean if you compare the lower weights to the heavyweights, it's a joke. And fans that defend this era will say that boxing evolves and so do training techniques, but not the heavyweight division.
Cool, but as I said that's just an opinion. There's no way to prove this is a weak era, barring a time machine.

It's been proven time and time again that people call it a "weak era" in any sport when someone is dominating, see my previous examples.

I would put Wlad anywhere from 15-20.......but by the end of his career he could be a top 10 ATG HW imo......Wlad reminds me of Larry Holmes in a sense that his accomplishments won't be fully appreciated until he retires!!!

I don't think the Klitschko's are terrible boxers, I think they are great boxers. But you watch these matches and tell me if you think it's not weak.

        Nikolai Valuev vs Evander Holyfield
        Sultan Ibgramiov vs Shannon Briggs
        Timur Ibragimov vs Calvin Brcok
        Ray Austin vs Wladimir Klitschko
        David Haye vs Nikolai Valuev
        Any Christobal Arreola fights.

I mean the skill level of the heavyweights today (well most of them) suck. It's not championship level. Some of them can't even get the basics down. Just watch the fights, heavyweights before were faster and more skilled.

You think of Eddie Chambers he's a rare breed because he's very skilled, that used to be norm back then, boxers with championship level skills. The Klitschko fights are not even competitive.

Boxers like Samuel Peter and Christobal Arreola are a joke, they would be C level boxers in almost any era in the heavyweight division.

Well, Valuev of course sucks, I don't think anyone disagrees with that, he's just a big guy with mediocre skills.

Timur Ibragimov and Calvin Brock were never top HWs, just contenders.

Sultan did pretty good against Briggs, landing almost at will, I don't know what's wrong with that fight?

Arreola doesn't suck, fat yes, but he has skills. Ray Austin was not in Wlad's class and it showed, but did people ***** when Tyson beat his opponents early too?

Haye, I don't think much of him, I mean I think he's on the level of a Ibragimov or Peters, but certainly not on the level of the Klitschkos. That he only managed to do against Valuev what Holyfield did is underwhelming, I'll give you that one.

I think Wladimir Klitschko gives any top ten heavy weight a lot of problems. I think his skill set is close to lennox lewis. His chin is not that good but he never has gone down from one shot like lewis did.

People should get over the U.S.A not having a heavy weight champ. Boxing is a global sport now the talent pool is a lot bigger.

Its difficult to tell until he has retired and we know what his final record is.

Here's the problem with rating Wlad: nothing to fall back on with a bad loss. It's why I can't rate him until he retires. He's got three AWFUL losses, two in his physical prime. If he got stopped (for now unlikely) by Chambers this weekend, how silly would top 15 Wlad sound?

Arreola being fat so mitigates his skill set as to bring on heavy suck. Ray Austin isn't as good as ANYONE Tyson ever defended his title against. Austin is a walk-out bout guy in the shallow 80s.

Because you say so? As I said, short of a time machine experiment, making assertions like that as they are fact, is asinine.
