I won't even try to argue contract law, as I know nothing about it. You make a point I didn't think about and could very well be right though. As Burner said, we'll just have to wait and see.

You will have to pardon me for not responding to the rest of your post. I've been talking about this and saying the same thing, making the same points for two days. Im just tired of going round and round on this.

Floyd and Shane and whoever can submit to all the ridiculous non required drug testing they want, and they can agree to ban each other from the sport for 2 years or whatever. It dont mean **** because all this is just a PR stunt and is not officially mandated by the sport of boxing.

No prob man, i can respect anyone who disagrees with me or anyone else and argues their points intelligently and logically in a civil discussion. You made some very valid points against the enforcement of ban on the fighters by the USADA as well as other posts in other threads.

But the contract shall be binding only between the contracting parties and will never bind third persons. If there is no authority to enforce the ban, this is meaningless.

If mandated by state athletic commission, fighter must comply to participate in the sport of boxing. Olympic Style testing is not required and fighters should not be bullied into taking any tests not required by the boxing commission

This is all nonsense anyways. What enforcement mechanism do they have?

The more I think about it the more I believe this is a PR move to put pressure on Pacquiao. That is only an opinion of course.
Just saw this...you're dead on. This has the genuine magnitude of a retirement match in pro wrestling. IMO, it's good but hollow pub for the fighters and a great chance for the USADA to sound like they have some stroke they don't as they make a big power play to get in pro sports $ (despite a catch record of cheats really no more impressive than the NFL who laughs at this transparent stuff).
