You know what? I'm not going to debate you any further because
I just laid down several facts and documented proof and you didn't
even acknowledge them. Your going to believe what you want about
the man and that's fine with me but I am used to being a straight
shooter and I like to call it how I see it.

Bob Arum only does things that suits him and works in his favor and
best interest. How is Arum going to say he didn't want to participate
in a De La Hoya fight and the money wasn't there? Floyd made it
happen anyways on his own. I'm sure if Arum could have guaranteed
the 10MIL for Hatton and Cotto them fights and the Margarito fight
would have been made. Floyd is about his business and paper.
Wished most fighters took control of their own careers and had
more say so. De La Hoya left Arum and look how successful he is.
Also Floyd. That goes to show that Arum don't give a flying rat's
ass about his fighters. Look at Cotto and clottey? Arum wants
a cut of everything. Not coming down on him for that because it's
up to the boxers/fighters to handle their own business. Arum wanted
Pac to fight Clottey so he could get into business with the Dallas
Cowboy's owner and make extra change. If floyd would have whooped
Pac out on Saturday then all that paper would have went out the
window. There is a lot of aspects to the game most on here don't
take into consideration and that's why ****** name calling and

I am tired of hearing about this s*** it drives me insane.. why does Roach and Pac think that Mayweather will drop his testing demands? Its like they are f**** insane? Just move on, if you don't take the test, you won't fight Mayweather, why don't they get that?

as usual they are trying to win in the court of public opinion. they want to drum up support for pac not taking the test. they say they want the fight but dont want to take the test. they are fighting so hard to avoid taking the test it only makes them look more suspect.

I could not agree more. Bob Arum definitely killed the Pacquaio and Mayweather fight. Arum is the typical greedy promoter. He knows full in well that if Pacquaio loses, he loses. Once Cotto lost to Margarito, he knew his stock value would take a plunge. Oscar was not only a greta boxer but he was a good student when it came down to learning the business side of boxing. Floyd was an up and comer when he too looked at how Oscar made a name for himself and millions to go along with it. The irony is both of these guys figured out a way to get out of contracts with Arum and thus keep their hard earned money in their pockets.

It kills me when I read all these post about Mayweather being a chicken, ducking etc. No man that has ever laced up a pair of boxing gloves and stepped inside that ring as a professional is a chicken. If you have ever competed on an elite level sport such as boxing, wrestling etc you know that the possibility always exist that you can be beat.

To try and compare this generation of boxers with past is totally unfair. Past generations had more to choose from. Even when De La Hoya and Mosley came along, they got the golden eras best as they were on their down side. By the time Mayweather, Pacquaio, Mosley, Cotto, and Margarito go away, the new crop of WW like Alexander and Bradley will be getting this same criticism because they too will be looking for big pay days.

floyd has been saying this for years, marg was there, cotto, and pwill. he did not fight them.
i give him props for fighting shane now as it is the best fight.

i do think it is pacs fault the fight didnt get made, however, for years floyd has been saying he is the best and the elite when he has had a chance to prove it he didnt.

it is ashame because he is one of the most natural and skilled boxers i have ever seen. he just doesnt deserve to parade around saying he is the best.

if you take away the 2 years he was inactive its actually 3 years its funny u say in this post 10 years ago shane was not a pay per view attraction so it makes no sense that floyd called him out but in the same post you say floyd is ducking paul williams who is not a pay per view attaction himself....

Mayweather took the fights that yielded the most money plain and simple. You have only mentioned 3 names in WW that were worth something but only 1 out of the 3 actually called Mayweather out and that was Margarito. Mayweather couldn't fight at WW when he entered the game because his body had to grow into the mold first. Its not hard to see that Mayweather is a true WW in body build and frame. He only weighed 149 lbs in the De La Hoya fight so what does that tell you about his natural body build. Who is really the best out there? Paul Williams style is problematic but a far stretch to say the best, Martinez proved that theory. Fighter's like Cotto and Margarito are controlled by their promoters and thus have little to no say in their boxing future. Mayweather and De La Hoya called their own shots when it mattered most.
