so you are telling me aaron pryor wasnt a big fish?????????? this has to be a joke! ray actually ran from pryor he switched wieght classes and all, pryor knocked him down in sparring and beat many top fighter he deserved a shot and ray leonard denied him!!!! but at the same time pryor was dirty as hell so i guess ill give you the win on this one it was bigger fights for ray at the time being that the year pryor won his first title ray leonard was fighting duran... now as far as if mayweather wanted to box cotto and marg he could have have u ever heard of owners managers and promoters? they are usually old white men and u cant do anything without their giving u the go ahead its not as simple as just saying i want to fight him and then yall get in the ring, i wish it was this way but it isnt! i would like to see may fight the best for his last fights though i agree...

hey rome i dig your post but i dissagree with you. arum did not want cotto getting in the ring with floyd because he knew cotto didnt have the experiance to deal with floyd and he didnt want his young meal ticket to get his confidence taken. look at what happened to cotto after the margs fight. arum pushed him to the curb and jocked (yes i said jocked) margarito. also arum did not want to participate in helping floyd make any money. look at the pac failed negotiations. arum wanted to make floyd look bad thats why they had the clottey fight wrapped up before they were through with money. and no fighter has ever fought all his supposed threats in todays game. i can name plenty of fights pac avoided/ducked he has NOT fought the best and never gets called on it.Comment

Listen May made really good moves as far bizzness wise.But I will say this again he could have fought margas and cotto if he wanted to.While still making a butt load of money.No?He fought baldy for 8 mill and could have fought margas for the same amount.No?You just said he needed time to grow into a ww body right. This is a very logical and sound posting. Its almost impossible for the best to fight all comers these days. In the days of old, those guys had to fight 4 plus times a year because the purses were so ****ty. Todays athletes only have to get in the ring 1-2 times a year. If you bank like DLH did, 1 time a year is more than enough. Arum is vindictive and will always be that way. He hates Mayweather and De La Hoya with a passion because they beat him at his own game and are laughing in his face.Comment

Baldi had a belt and Margarito didn't. Who would you fight, the belt holder or the belt contender? Mayweather called out De La Hoya when he was a lightweight and said he would move up but he did it over time. Mosley would have done better against Wright and Forrest had he had at least 2 fights at JMW before he fought the best in that division. Its all about timing and stategy.
