hey rome i dig your post but i dissagree with you. arum did not want cotto getting in the ring with floyd because he knew cotto didnt have the experiance to deal with floyd and he didnt want his young meal ticket to get his confidence taken. look at what happened to cotto after the margs fight. arum pushed him to the curb and jocked (yes i said jocked) margarito. also arum did not want to participate in helping floyd make any money. look at the pac failed negotiations. arum wanted to make floyd look bad thats why they had the clottey fight wrapped up before they were through with money. and no fighter has ever fought all his supposed threats in todays game. i can name plenty of fights pac avoided/ducked he has NOT fought the best and never gets called on it.

Pac came up in the weightclasses faster then May.May had about three or four fight's at 140lb two at 147 and one at 154 if I'm not mistaken.But out of all those fight's who was elite?Who was the dangerous fight?I'll give him Hoya but who else?

Baldi had a belt and Margarito didn't. Who would you fight, the belt holder or the belt contender? Mayweather called out De La Hoya when he was a lightweight and said he would move up but he did it over time. Mosley would have done better against Wright and Forrest had he had at least 2 fights at JMW before he fought the best in that division. Its all about timing and stategy. Mayweather knows his body better than Mosley knew his.

Manny has ducked many and will never be called on it because for some odd ass reason he's a media baby. Floyd is the best fighter and biggest draw but Manny (the same dude that refuses to come clean) is the media baby. What kinda **** is that? Your forgot to mention PBF beat Baldo and Judah while everybody else moved up in weight. Floyd wanted Margarito and Cotto but Bob didn't wanna cooperate. So your logic is Floyd should've bent over for the sake of some BS fans and fought them anyway under Bob's conditions? So everything and everyone should bow down to Bob Arum to make a fight happen? One thing a intelligent fighter will know is his security and well being comes first then legacy and the fans. A smart fighter would clearly see where the greats went wrong and make the adjustments. Listen May made really good moves as far bizzness wise.But I will say this again he could have fought margas and cotto if he wanted to.While still making a butt load of money.No?He fought baldy for 8 mill and could have fought margas for the same amount.No?You just said he needed time to grow into a ww body right. At the height of Margarito's success (after the Cotto win) he himself made 1 million and some change. You mean to tell me Arum would have thrown 8 million to an opponent who's not in his stable at a time Margarito was fresh off an ESPN appearance? Its one thig to challenge yourself and its another to put yourself in a no win position. Mosely has a much more muscular body build than Mayweather so he can carry more weight than Mayweather. I still say Mosley moved up too soon and didn't give his body the normal adjustment time when putting on more muscle. Mayweather will have his own legacy just like Mosley will have his. People will remember Mayweather for his level of boxing skill because its one that doesn't come along very often.

He should and will stick to his demands, random drug testing is good for the sport, Floyd has also shown quite easily that he doesn't need Manny Pacquiao to make a 40 million payday. He's doing that right now with Mosley.

So its ok to test amateur athletes but not professionals who have much more to gain? All sports should be tested for PEDs. Boxing needs a wake up call.
