Your forgot to mention PBF beat Baldo and Judah while everybody else moved up in weight. Floyd wanted Margarito and Cotto but Bob didn't wanna cooperate. So your logic is Floyd should've bent over for the sake of some BS fans and fought them anyway under Bob's conditions? So everything and everyone should bow down to Bob Arum to make a fight happen? One thing a intelligent fighter will know is his security and well being comes first then legacy and the fans. A smart fighter would clearly see where the greats went wrong and make the adjustments. Another Post come on dude look at Floyds last 10 opponents Phillip N'dou, Demarcus Corely (who), Henry Bruseles (who?), Arturo gatti (not elite), Sharmba mitchell (who), Zab Judah (no heart), Carlos Baldomir (12 losses), Oscar dela hoya (ill give him that one), Ricky Hatton (overrrated), Juan Manuel marquez ( never fought above 135)..is this pound 4 pound worthy .. all i hear is excuses from Floyd on why he's never fought any elite welterweight. I won't say SRL ducked anybody, but the press conference when he made the announcement of his 2nd retiremnt was the same presser that everyone thought that he was going to accept Marvin Hagler's challenge. Even Marvin himself thought he was finally going to get a shot at SRL, and to the surprise of everyone there(Ray's camp included) Ray retires on the spot. Now SRL is one of my all time favorites, and he did eventually fight Marvin; but he was looked at(at the time) as ducking Marvelous Marvin Hagler. I do think he should've fought Aaron, I think he would've beat him.

I hear you but srl was hof bound and had proved everything he needed to when he retired the first time.When May retired the question's was about to start being ask the real ww was closing in.But he did not answer it.Arum would not have had a choice but to make that fight happen right?

Ummm....I'm having a hard time believing this Arum fed propaganda. Step away from your hate/love of a fighter and be realistic. Was there really 8 million for Floyd on the table? At the height of Margarito's success (after the Cotto win) he himself made 1 million and some change. You mean to tell me Arum would have thrown 8 million to an opponent who's not in his stable at a time Margarito was fresh off an ESPN appearance? The TOTAL pot wasn't even that much for Shane vs Marg. I'm all for arguing for my fighter....but not at the expense of disregarding all common sense.

OK, why don't you name Manny Pacquiao's last 10 opponents
and make sure that you put a weight drained Oscar and a
way overrated Ricky Hatton and ask yourself why is Manny
considered the best? Don't forget to add a weak champ at 135
David Diaz and a Miguel Cotto at 145. All of Floyd's opponents
were either champions or contenders. Can't front on Floyd's
opponents and give everyone else a pass for fighting scrubbier

Have you even read my sig? Why do people keep bringing up
Margarito? The fights with him and Cotto would have been made
if Arum came correct on his business bottom line. Why is that

to get in the ring with Floyd so why would he be scared to fight him?
Margarito to me has always been an overrated, limited fighter.
Floyd is the kind of person that if the business and money is right
then it's on. I will tell you who really ducked a fighter. Manny Pacquiao
ducking Floyd Mayweather Jr. If you consider Floyd not fighting
Cotto/Margarito a duck then there is no way you can give Pacquiao
a pass for what happened with Floyd.

floyd has been saying this for years, marg was there, cotto, and pwill. he did not fight them.
i give him props for fighting shane now as it is the best fight.

i do think it is pacs fault the fight didnt get made, however, for years floyd has been saying he is the best and the elite when he has had a chance to prove it he didnt.

it is ashame because he is one of the most natural and skilled boxers i have ever seen. he just doesnt deserve to parade around saying he is the best.
