They were to be handled by an external professional testing body....USADA...Floyd has zero say in when and where both athletes would be tested.....USADA's mandate is to test and test randomly....they are not dicatated to by anyone.........they simply tell people who get in their way or refuse a test when they show up to *** off....then they slap them with a reprimand or a ban......
Shouldn’t Mayweather be applauded for wanting testing for PEDs?

I believe they were willing to compronmise......given the situation with boxing today.........Comment

you fail, shane mosley never failed the test and he was roiding. so that tells you why reg testing isnt enoughComment

I think one of the concerns is that there is a certain type of PED (antimyostatin) which is taken on a 21 day cycle that then clears the body in 24-48 hours when the cycle is completed and would not show up in a post-fight blood test. The urine test would show only elevated levels of Uric acid (which 30% of the population has anyway). So, an athlete on this PED could take a blood test 24 days prior to the event, cycle the PED for 21 days and still test clean post-event. Even though it is only a 10 day difference, those 10 days matter. I am not saying that Pac is or isn't roiding, but for those who say that 14 and 24 days are the same thing, that is just not accurate.
Man i have been trying to tell people these things for a month......they do not care or simply do not care to listen.....irregardless of facts......they think i am on here making that **** up.......Comment

The point i made was that the regular tests they use for every other fight in boxing are deemed satisfactory by the boxing boards, no other tests are needed or ordered. So, if Pacquiao didnt want to do any further tests he was well within his right to say no. And did you actually type the words 'you fail' , how old are you 12? Go and get laid or something.Comment

He ain't bending over backwards for Floyd if he takes the tests,
You could say Floyd is bending over backwards for him......
1. Manny picked Weightclass (Manny picked)
2. Agreed to 50/50 split even though Floyd has better PPV history
3. Agreed to Glove Size (Manny picked)
4. Agreed to 10million penalty for weight-in
5. Agreed to Fight in March (When he wanted May)
6. Was willing to fight in Dallas (Arum wanted)
7. Agreed to 14 day cut off point (Which Roach requested, then when agreed they declined)
If anyone is bending over backwards its Floyd
Yeah, i can see your point. But i can understand why the stumbling block is the tests. To have the Mayweather team go on about him being a steroid user, then demanding tests to prove hes not. If he is clean, he might be very angry over the accusations and doesnt feel he has to comply with there demand or prove anything.
The 14 day cut-off point is an interesting situation though. As i remember Arum denying it, then confirming it. Cant really see the reasoning in agreeing to tests, then changing there mind.Last edited by Chrismart; 03-01-2010, 06:13 PM.Comment

Way too much evidence against him that he is dodging these tests because he is juicing I am not saying he is but it looks like he is.......
I thought he would of even took tests on his own accord for the Clottey fight to prove it to people but he didn't, makes you wonder........Comment

Every real fan of boxing should want to have the most updated stringent testing done to the fighters to ensure the safety & authenticity of the sport. Anyone who makes excuses for a fighter turning down a random drug test which stopped the biggest fight in boxing history is not a fan of boxing. PERIOD.Comment
