Wait wait...there are people in this thread who believe that Oscar accomplished more than Roberto Duran? Really?

Yes, very close just like the Whitaker fight. I think the 12th round is what sealed the deal for the win against Quartey. I don't remember which rounds I gave Oscar outside the 12th to be honest. I have seen the fight like 5 times and had Oscar barely winning every time. Its been a while though.

yeah I agree with most of that list, I'd add Finito to it also .... Oscar's very accomplished though; no denying that ..... but there's been so many more great Mexican and Latino boxers in the history of boxing

That's because he won no more than 2 or 3 other rounds. Quartey literally dominated rounds 5--11 with ease, and the first four were close.

Prime Oscar fought Whitaker first, fought Quartey as well. Also, Oscar moved up to WW while Tito was already fighting there.
And, Oscar lost to Whitaker and Quartey... Wasn't Tito going to move up to 154 in 1997 cuz Oscar was not going to fight him and Tito was having trouble making weight? Fought Troy Walters at 154 and then was head for big mega fight against Terry Norris. But, then Norris lost to Keith Mullings I believe. And, there was no mega fight for Tito anymore at 154 so he went back down to 147 where the money was at... And, literally starved himself for two years trying to make 147 so he could fight Oscar for the big money fight... Yes Tito was drained...

Meh, lets not hold that against oscar, Tito brought his A game and lost to Oscar, lets not sugar coat it, that was an Oscar win.

LMAO!! A ******* bitching about another fighter being drained. Day don't get better than this.
A drained Tito would of gotten murked by Oscar.

The reason in my opinion on why people say Quartey won is......they don't like Oscar, the rounds in which Quartey won were more dominant than the rounds Oscar won. Oscar's rounds were close and competitive.
