unfair advantage: steroids or coming in over the agreed limit against a smaller man?

Answer this. Is Floyd breaking the rules? I'll do you a favor by saying no. If Manny was using PEDS or EPO, would he be breaking any rules? Hell f**king yeah. If PEDS or EPO were allowed before a cutoff point, "*****s" wouldn't be saying **** because it would be fair. Floyd wants to keep things fair. Is using Xylocaine before the cutoff point unfair? No. That's like saying taking Tylenol before a fight is unfair.
This is like a weigh-in (just reversed). You must come in at the limit on the weigh-in, but after that you can put on as much weight as you desire. So would coming in at 160lbs on fight night be illegal? According to your twisted logic, yes it would be, just because its "illegal at one point". Do you see how ******ed your argument is now? Now when you respond (assuming you do), counter this post without saying the same crap as before. I want you to try to prove this post wrong. And if you say the same thing you did before, you're just proving yourself wrong because I already countered that successfully.Last edited by BoxerDood; 02-07-2010, 09:58 PM.Comment

If I use your argument then Cotto coming in at 145 which is also 2 pound less than the maximum WW limit is also ****, since it wouldn't make a difference (certainly it did not) come fight night which some fans here yapping about weight drained Cotto.Comment

I have and two pounds ain't ****. I'm at 140
and most of the guys in my gym are over 150. You don't know **** about boxing.
I spar 185ers often and I can count the number of times I've been rocked because of weight on one hand.Comment

There's no excuse for either. There both dirty tactics, and neither one out weights the other. The only proven fact is: Mayweather is a proven piece of **** for never having any intentions of coming in at the agreed upon catch weight of 144, with JMM. Pacquiao on the other hand is just a suspect of bull**** that Sr, fabricated out of thin air to ruin Pac's image and reputation. Mayweather's can stand that the guys a better fighter/person then they are, so why not try and put doubt in the fans eyes by questioning Pacquaio's integrity?. In the end it's just bull**** out the ass because Pac's never tested postive for any illegal substances, and until proven other wise; is just **** only a Mayweather fan can believe.Floyd fans hail Floyd as a hero for trying to clean up the sport of boxing by imposing his own regulations on a man he suspects of being dirty because of his recent performances. This is boxing and in a sport that is life threatening, their is no place for anything that could cause an unfair advantage. Steroids have been around the sport of boxing and its effectiveness can be measured by the fighters who have been caught using them; Vargas, Toney, etc.
Weight advantage is also a dangerous advantage specially if you are fighting a man that does not even belong in the weight class he has already agreed on fighting his opponent in. Add on an opponent not coming in heavier than an already smaller opponent, it is just a recipe for an unfair disaster. We have seen the effects of what weight can do in the 2nd Castillo vs. Corrales fight.
Manny Pacquiao has never been proven to be a dirty fighter nor use PEDs. For the sake of argument though, what is a greater advantage, a dirtier tactic, coming in with a weight advantage or coming in roided?Comment
