The same reason why Oscar fought Sturm at 160 and Hopkins at a catch-weight... The same reason why Floyd told JMM to fight at 144 but came at 146...

Are you saying Leonard did not come off from a 3yr layoff to fight Hagler? Are you saying Hagler was not the #1 MW? The lineal champ? Was Hagler not coming off a win over a big prime strong MW? And, before that did Leonard ever fight at middleweight? And, you say Hagler career was on the slide but where was Leonard career going at the time? Was Leonard favored going into that fight? Was there not people who actually feared for Leonard safety going into the fight? Naw bro you gimme a fucking breat with that bull****...
Leonard WAITED until Hagler looked vunerable. That is fact. Leonard KNEW he would beat him.

Thats not daring to be great. Thats cherry picking. He shouldve fought Hagler a long time agao rather then calling a press confrence to say he will DUCK him.

Like I said Go tell Pac to retire for 3 years doing coke and then tell him to roll out of bed and fight Martinez at 154 in his first fight back. He'll look at you and laugh.

Yeah they don't want to admit that but that is the only plausible reason for that type of catchweight.

Floyd didnt make weight. It happens. He paid his fine. He only came in 2 Pounds over. And according to Pac fans 2 Pounds isnt a big deal remember?

Winky Wright took 2 years off. Rolled out of bed and fought Paul Williams.

And got the worst beating of his career. That **** dont work for everybody.
Was Leonard favored yes or no? Was Hagler coming off a win over a big prime strong MW yes or no? Did Leonard ever fight at MW before yes or no? Were people for Leonard safety yes or no?

So you telling is too much to ask from Floyd to fight Shane coming off a 16 month... But, is not too much to ask Shane to fight Floyd coming off a 16 month? Is that what you saying?

lol stop it with that one... andThe difference between that and the sturm situation is manny could easily fight at 147 and be comfortable, he weighed in at 148 on fight night against cotto.

I hear people taking away from leonard's defeat over hagler and I disagree it was just a great win.

Bull**** stop watching legendary nights... Nobody was giving Leonard much of a chance.... Hagler was suppose to kill Leonard that night... A lot of people felt Hagler won... And, even Leonard it was tightly competitive fight... But, he dared to be great cuz he took on a challenge. And that is how it was looked at... And, till this day it looked like that... And, to make it worse Leonard was a coke he should not of been competitive... But, again he dared to be great... And, I guarantee you this if Pac comes back from a long layoff and takes a challenge from on old who looks vulnerable from 2 weight-classes below him... I will **** on Pac. Cuz on the real I am more of a boxing fan then any particular fighter...
