No, Manny did not have a $40-50M fight against Mayweather before he fought Hatton and Cotto.

He did before the Cotto fight, people were talking about a Mayweather-Pacquiao fight once Mayweather announced his comeback on the weekend of Pacquiao-Hatton. Granted Pacquiao didn't know this before the Hatton fight but the Mayweather fight was supposed to happen after the Cotto fight. Unfortunately, as we all know, it fell apart.

I would still want to see the fight if Floyd loses the first fight and wins the rematch, but Floyd is protecting his future earnings and GBP is protecting their company from preventing Shane leaving them for a fight with Manny.

Manny only has two big fights at WW with Mosley and Mayweather. Manny only wants to fight the best and make the most money he can.

So are you saying the challenger Hatton asked for one? Because there was rematch clause for that fight.
