Anything can happen in a fight. Floyd can get a nasty cut and stop the fight early or get injured during the fight. Shane just needs one lucky punch to win the fight.
Did Pacquiao ask for a rematch clause with Hatton or with Cotto?

I'm just saying it's interesting that Mayweather is asking for a rematch clause. For those who say it's meant to freeze Pacquiao out, I doubt Pacquiao will get frozen out if Mayweather and Mosley have a rematch, he has options out there, maybe not as big as the winner of Mayweather-Mosley but still, he has options.

There is a lot more at stake in this fight than the "title". This is about money and Mayweather is in the position to make that demand. If Mosley was, he would have done the same thing. And Mosley is a GBP fighter and works for GBP. So why wouldnt Mayweather wanta rematch clause? To me it's a good business decision unless you're looking at it another way. I don't see how this is surprising at all.

He would lose to arguably the best WW... So how is a fight with Pac less meaningful now then it was before... It was always like that... But, something changed along the way... That is something that I don't like that i see going on here... After 1 lost you got exposed or you were overrated, you are done, or some bull****... it make no sense to me... For me personally he does not lose anything in loosing to Shane. But, for the majority I agree with you he does...
If Floyd loses against Shane... Shane would've fought Manny before him and Manny would have all the leverage against Floyd. Floyd has the leverage against Manny right now because he is the current cash cow, undefeated, and sells millions of PPVs.

Manny would demand he gets the bigger split for the fight instead of 50-50. Money would have no leverage if he wants blood tests in his fight against Manny. He loses a lot of leverage if he loses against Mosley. He keeps all his leverage if he wins, but he loses leverage if he loses against Mosley.

Arum is not going to give 50-50 if he loses against Mosley. Arum is going to demand Manny get a bigger split and no way Arum would discuss OSDT with Floyd.

                Should be good.

I kind of have mixed feelings, a part of me wants Shane to win, the other part wants Floyd to win so we see Pac-Floyd.

                Eh.

You know that the most Pacquiao can be 'frozen out' is for 1 fight if Mayweather-Mosley have a rematch, maybe 2 if they decide to have a rubber match. Berto is out there, Margarito is already being lined up, Bradley etc. As I said, none of those fights are as big as the winner of Mayweather-Mosley but it's not like Pacquiao is going to be left without anything whatsoever.

Lets say if he losses against Shane and then wins the rematch... Would he regain the leverage against Pac?
