The overrated Bernard Hopkins

Can you cite examples of fighters at 168 Calzaghe fought who were better than Hopkins' resume at 160? How about their body of records beyond their respective divisions?

Like i said neither have great resumes and i gave Hopkins the edge due to name power (this is MW vs SMW). Calzaghe has a few names Eubank, Kessler, Lacy etc while Hopkins has Johnson, Jones (a loss), Tito, Oscar, Holmes..

The guy fought the likes of Echolls, Mercado, Allen more then once as well just inflating his defenses even further why refight guys you got a mid round tko on or UD from?

But outside of that?

Hopkins beat Winky, Tarver and Pavlik and lost to Calzaghe
Calzaghe beat Hopkins and Jones

Not really much difference like i said Jones was shot to ****.. Pavlik and Winky had no business at those weights and Tarver was arguably weight drained. Note he didn't go on record to say he was but how could he? he shat on Roy Jones for doing so previous..

It gets old seeing posts that the best fighters of this generation were "overrated" or whatever excuse you can think of to demean a fighter you dislike. I dislike Hopkins as a person but to deny his (or any of the other great fighter that's hated on NSB) talent in the ring would be ridiculous since he's a great fighter...

you hopkins ballickers crack me up...stop making excuses...he entered boxing as a lightheavy and LOST...thats HIS FAULT....you make it seem like he just decided to box without entering a ring, and took a fight for the hell of it...he LOST....THEN he decided to get serious...this ain't got nothing to do with hatton, calzaghe, etc. those cats entered a division, and stayed there win or lose, then moved up... how many fighters entered boxing in one division, then scale down 2 divisions after realizing they can't hang with equally sized, equally talented fighters...hopkins is the only one i know of...lol

What does getting serious mean? And if a fighter can make 160 (as low as 156) for nearly 20 years what does that tell you?

Pavlik was a heavy, heavy favorite. So was Tarver who was #3 pound for pound and the undisputed king at LHW coming off wins against Jones and Johnson. And Hopkins moved up two divisions and kicked his ass. Weight drained? Don't make me laugh.

Who told you that Tarver was drained? He felt fine before the bout. He send two of his own sparring partners home after 4 days. Tarver himself said he was in good shape - both before and AFTER the fight.

Bernard was avoiding his left hand all night and Tarver couldn't land **** due to Bernards footwork. Watch the ****ing fight instead of talking about something you clearly can't comprehend.

What fighters say i had a **** camp im in terrible shape please GTFO.. Hatton pre Pac fight was saying it was his best camp ever so don't make me laugh with Tarver said he was good oh he must have been in good shape. Boxers simply don't say that kind of **** pre fight..

Because Veit, McIntyre and Jimenez make Eastman, Allen and Joppy look like the dream team? Because Byron Mitchell is on the level of Keith Holmes, if not worse? kessler, eubank and roy jones fought at 154 before. hopkins fought at 156. these are great wins for a natural supermiddle and light heavy such as calzaghe? he should be ashamed.
