He's not a pro yet but I'll tell you about a kid who will be something to look for in the next few years. Poncho Moncivious out of Laurel, MS won the Jr. Olympic Super Heavyweight Gold Medal last year. I believe he just turned 17. It will be something special to see a Latino heavyweight who can actually punch. Keep an eye out for Poncho!Comment

Ive seen John Duddy mentioned here that is awesome, Duddy is my boy and this weekend Im goin to the Garden to see him fight on the Cotto undercard. Anybody else goin to Garden this weekend??
Also some other prospects out there are Jason Litzau, I saw him mentioned here, his brother is supposed to be good too. But Litzau has a Gatti brawling style.
And I cant forget to mention the magic man, Paulie Malignaggi. Paulie is still 19-0 and hopefully he sets up his oppositioned in the near future but his next fight shouldnt be too hard being he is coming off a hand injury, hopefully we see Paulie back in action at the end of the summer
And finally another young Irish prospect out there is Paul Hyland.Comment

Paul Williams baby, he is just starting to get some love from Showtime and what not. But give this guy a couple years and he is going to rule the welterweight division and above! "The Punisher" is a monster, tall, lanky, quick hands, lots of power.
Also, somebody I have seen fight once and will be fighting for the second time in his career in Turning Stone on induction weekend, is Jamar "Young Prince" Patterson from Utica, NY. He was a good amatuer prospect who kind of fell off the radar after he had some surgery. But he is back in the swing of things and has turned pro and made his debut with a one round KO on the under card of Tarvis Simms and Robert Frazier a couple months ago. I was impressed with what I saw.Comment

CHENTE ESCOBEDO is a local prospect from Woodland CA, he's an '04 Olympian with all kinds of potential, he can brawl & box and has a lethal straight right hand, Chente is currently fighting under the banner of Golden Boy Promotions so I'm sure we'll see him on some of the PPV undercards this Summer & fallComment

I think it's only a matter of time before Juan Urango makes some serious noise at Junior Welterweight or Welterweight, I think of him kinda like the Jeff Lacy of that division. I'd love to see him get rematch with Mike Arnaoutis.Comment

Adonis Stevenson...this kid is the 2005 canadian amatuer middleweight champion. saw him at the nationals, he's got skills and a huge punch.
oh yeah, props to ThunderGatti for that pic of Preef in his sig. Great stuff dude.
