Seems like there are alot of bona fide prospects out there, making the next 3-5 years very promising. Almost all of the divisions from featherweight up to light heavy are covered, with the notable void continuing to be at heavyweight. Peter is apparently the ONLY glimmer of hope for a young champion any time soon.
Then, we have a solid mix of young veterans in these divisions, Pac at super feather, Corrales- Juan Diaz at light, PBF-Hatton-Harris at welter, Cotto at welter/super welter/middle/wherever he ends up, Judah-Margarito at welter, Ouma at light middle, Taylor-Sturm at middle, Lacy-Kessler at super middle, etc. The non-heavyweight golden age looks like it will continue for a while...I for one am very optimistic about some fights that can be made...Last edited by cupcrazy01; 05-06-2005, 12:44 PM. Reason: added fighters to list of current young vetsComment

Vicente Escobedo, aka "Cente" (pronounced chen-tay)
He's a 2004 Olympian who's promoted by GBP, from my neck of the woods here in Woodland, CA....speedy fighter with above-avg. punching power, he'll be champion in 2-3 yearsComment

Damn it, you beat me to it. John "Irish Ropes" Duddy. 9 wins, 9 ko's. Fights out of Gleason's. Really good kid, hard worker and smart.Originally posted by realheavyhandsjohn duddy aint no joke...middleweight 8wins all first round knock outs.. 2 hand one punch knock out power beat undefeated kevin rooney prospect in one round.. chin checkers jaidon cordington and curtis stevens super middle weights both got one punch ko powerComment

Thanks to everyone whose contributed to this thread so far. I've learned a lot and you've made my workday a hell of a lot more interesting. Great hearing from so many knowledgeable fans...I feel like an ignorant dimwit by comparison

Jason Litzau
My friend Jaon Litzau from Minneota is going to likely be a WORLD CHAMPION. He has serious star potential 126 pounds. Look for him
