Prime Hopkins beats Prime Toney easily

Who said Hopkins wouldn't be able to beat him? Plus, those Montell Griffin fights are irrelevant. Hopkins fights nothing like Griffin. Totally different styles and physiques.

Griffin also fights nothing like Jones, making him prone to be beaten by quite a few styles. I would pick Hopkins to win for a variety of reasons, one being he never came close to losing while he was in his absolute prime, whereas Toney has a few times.

We are assuming they both come in fight night 100%, I bet Hopkins would of had a lot of close fights in his prime if he had stayed in the smw division.

Well that's the point. You can't use that logic period; the one of "he lost to such and such therefore" or "such and such was undefeated." Yeah, but he never fought anyone like Toney. I would rather base my head to head on how they matched up since both are two greats.

Im not saying he didnt dominate that fight im saying there were many times when he didnt look very good at times in that fight. Those headbutts he was hitting Mercado with as well were vicious and he should of got docked a point.
