The only thing illegal in that fight was when Trinidad elbowed Hopkins in the throat.

missed that, but trinidad was never shy of lowblowing you with his bombs, wouldn't be suprised of the throat strike

Toney at his peak was very, very difficult to beat. Can't pick Hopkins over him. No way, no how.

Actually I'm having a much more difficult time figuring out how Hopkins would beat a prime, peak Toney.

Thats not exactly fair, Jones's style was a stylistic nightmare for Toney, but Toney was hardly 100% in that fight.

I agree with the comments along this line.... In his prime, Toney was freakin' increadible... I don't know who wins this, but what a fight it would have been... If I had to lay money down on it, i'd choose Toney, but i wouldn't be suprised if Hopkins won this.... it wouldn't be easy for either of them

Jones style and speed would be a nightmare for any fighter especially a counter puncher. How would you prepare for him during sparring when no other fighter out there fights like him?
