Depends on which Toney comes in. James Toney was very inconsistent, I'll say 50/50.

Thats very hard to do. One minute Toney is looking really good, the next, not so much. I mean, Buster Douglas looked really good against Tyson, in any fantasy match up, when we're talking about prime, is that the Douglas we should expect?

Toney beats Hopkins at any weight, Hopkins hasn't fought anybody like toney before and vice versa. Toney's Speed, defense, counter punching ability and experience would be enough to just barely squeak by hopkins in a very close SD.

We are TALKING a PRIME Hopkins, Not a Old Hopkins. Hopkins didn't hold as much in the 90's or late 2000's. But for the past 5-6 years he has been holding more because he makes the workrate go lower because of his age. LOL

                    You guys are hilarious.

But on the flip side Hopkins struggled with guys who had fast hands, the Jones, Taylor fights prove that.

This fight almost happened at mw, Hopkins was Toneys mandatory when Toney moved up to smw. It almost happened in 2003 but Hopkins pulled out.
LOL Hopkins won BOTH Taylor fights in my opinion and in others too. The 2nd fight was his. and the 1st fight was close but he won that one too.
Can you tell me that Taylor gave Hopkins SERIOUS trouble in the fight? He caught Hopkins maybe like 5-10 flush times in both fights Together. Hopkins fought to Cautious in the opening rounds. But in each fight he TORE UP Taylor in the CHampionship rounds.
