woah there ****sucker, calm down. No need to get so angry. We all know you don't like hopkins, you've been hatin on the man for 6 years or so now and various different websites. Whatever, that's what you do and that's cool and all you being so obsessed.

My point, faggot, is that you're basically stating hopkins was weight drained for 15 years....And yet this entire thread is talking about how being weight drained causes losses. Hmm, that's an interesting contradiction there then. Hopkins, went undefeated for over 10 years and yet he was weight draining himself? wow, he's even BETTER than most realize!

well right now, williams can't be judged too much cause he's still early in his career...hopkins is gonna get more criticism since most of career is behind him now and some people consider him an atg...

Oh yeah that makes sense hopkis turned prop in 1988 then got in shape and fought at 160. Because like, hopkins wasn't early in his career back then either. pffffft.

If the man made 160 for 15 years or more then clearly there wasn't a problem. You cant weight drain yourself unnaturally that long and be so successful. Use some common sense, that is if you have any.

its not cool for you to ride dese nuts the way you do, but every once in a while i don't mind my ego being stroked...

...and you still didn't read what the f**k was written...HOPKINS ADMITS TO CUTTING WEIGHT FOR YEARS...its nothing i'm "basically stating"...

where did you go to school, i'm gonna make sure my kids never go there....

hopkins was cutting weight very early in his career...jones, tarver, dropped down in weight drastically over the course of 1 fight more or less late in their careers, and it cost them...big f'ing difference....

He's basically saying he stays in tremdous shape all year round and that aint easy. How you gonna hate on a man for being in phenomenal shape? Might as well do the same to Hagler.

Right, cuz being weight drained for 15 years wouldn't have an effect on ones body, right?!?

whats with this excuse for hopkins turning pro, THEN getting into shape...thats the biggest excuse hopkins ballickers make...

don't you read...its common knowledge that he started out @ 175, and gradually scaled down over the course of a year and a half or so...didn't you read what he said, he said if we knew what he had to go through to maintain the weight, he'd get a blue ribbon just for that...don't sound to easy now does it?....again, where the f**k did you go to school, my kids are going nowhere near it....

Lmmfao...Hagler didn't enter boxing as a lightheavy and scale down to 160 like Hopkins did.

You know you Hopkins excuse making ballickers are some of the most persistent people on the planet. Its obvious that Hopkins admits himself that he cut weight for years and get this recent phenoma: HE WASN'T WEIGHT DRAINED. MEANING CUTTING THE WEIGHT DIDN'T HAVE AN EFFECT ON HIS PHYSICAL PERFORMANCE THE WAY IT DID FOR JONES, TARVER, AND HATTON. NOW IF HE CAN ACCEPT THAT, WHY CAN'T YOU STOP MAKING EXCUSES?

                SUCH ******ITY IS UNHEARD OF...

you cant even quote me correctly you ******?

Hopkins turned pro in 1988 fresh out of prison. He was not in boxing shape, which is why he took 2 years off after with a new trainer, etc.

                  Jesus christ you're an idiot.

no thats the excuse you hopkins ballickers use...how do you know he wasn't in shape when he first came out of prison and went into his first pro fight? oh yeah i forgot, you were responsible for hanging his laundry out on the line in prison...lol

fact is he lost his first fight and looked to scale down because he knew then that he'd lose to fighters his size with equal talent, as history has already proved...

on top of that, any time the subject of cutting weight to take advantage of smaller fighters comes up, or cutting weight, weight drain in general, hopkins name is brought up consistently without fail, and his nutthugging faithful always work overtime with the excuses...just fess up, hopkins did in ring mag....lol

I'ven been saying this forever. It affected Jones because he wasn't a bloated 198...he was lean. He lost a lot of muscle. It's so ironic that Tarver talked about dropping weight wasn't a big deal. Years later, he has to drop weight from being a heavyweight, and gets crushed in his next fight. It's not a coincidence. Dropping a lot of muscle weight like Jones couldn't have been good. I will say however, he got his ass whooped in the next 2 Tarver fights, not because of weight.
