If you can make the weight you can fight at that weightclass...

Baldomir was a middleweight in the ring when he fought Mayweather...if Baldomir had won that wouldn't be a valid excuse...

Plenty of guys go 15-20 pounds up in weight overnight...

      Thanks for posting this

please man stop it...its on record that hopkins started out lightheavy/supermiddle...for him to reinvent himself as a dominant middleweight meant that he wasn't confident about being dominant against fighters more his size with equal talent...had baldomir beat floyd, it would have been a good big man beating a great little man, which isn't as bad as a great big man beating up on weak middleweights and blown up welterweights for years...

I wud say yes it did, but Hatton always goes up in weight between fights...I think he thought he cud bull rush Pac and get the win..RJJ yeah the weight with a lil age..Tarver, was he really that good before the weight lose...he only beat RJJ but he was knocked twice b4 he last fought Tarver so I think Tarver had a long lay off to go with the weight issue, I think wud wud lose to hopkins even if Tarver was in his prime

I don't think pac is going back down before retirement. I think he's done with draining himself to make weight.

Hopkins progression in weight is just like paul williams. Paul started at SMW for several fights and then came down to WW but I don't hear yall going in on williams threads and I think you should. Hopkins is still a great fighter though.
