should a boxer be allowed to be a commisioner too when he fights?

like i said, the way you word it is a slippery slope and its almost misleading, given that our sport has no real governing body and no universal commision, the big money fights/fighters always set the precedent and standard for the rules and sometimes those rules are bent or changed altogether.

Im sure you are aware of what happened when antonio margarito fought miguel cotto and bob arum threatened to pull out of the fight if the glove size rule wasnt changed and he basically forced the NSAC to change the rules, even though they were made to protect the fighter.
it was done by NADA..again,its called national for a reason.......lol......like i said, the commisison has set rules about weights, gloves, and ring sizes and have been done and used before........

          It has to start somewhere.
man, they started banning steroid since 1967 like roach said......why did'nt they start that olympic style testing way earlier, why does' it have to start now after 3 damn decades and with pac just beacuse a drug convict (floyd sr)accused him?........nah mean!

If it was any other fighter you would have no problem with it. Everything has got to have a start and why not the #1 in the sport that has moved up multiple weight classes.

They keep changing the drugs that are used. They are nowhere close to the same as they were in 1967. With newer drugs comes harsher testing. There are drugs that can't be detected by a piss test now.

Even still, if he has nothing to hide, why refuse? It would be like me accusing you of smelling like **** when you don't. All I have to do is smell you to find out you don't really smell like ****. Would you refuse that on principle?

How the **** is it made up? They follow the WADA code, if they didn't they wouldn't be allowed to compete in world athletics.

No doubt this is about Mayweather asking for random testing. If you are the one putting your life on the line, you have the right to make sure your opponent isn't cheating. But no, boxers shouldn't be able to make up rules that have to do with the boxing match, like say they asked if they could take away the mandatory 8 count when a fighter goes down. Or allowed to stand right behind the ref after the knock down like in the old days. Some rules shouldn't be changed.
