Fuck floyd and pac for blowing this fight. You can point fingers all day but in the end it is both their fault

the thing is this olympic style random blood testing was not even done in the recent winter olympics in vancouver. probably because of lack of time to subject every athlete to such test. it would have been easy if they just select a few athletes (the popular ones maybe) to undergo such test to create an impression. but that procedure is not possible because it will certainly create chaos, divisiveness and objection from the athletes involve. rules in the first place are meant to be inclusive not selective.
so my question is...if ost in a selective manner is not possible in olympic games, what made you think that it is applicable to pro boxing that is not even covered by IOC authorities?Comment

bottom line is if something is to be done to clean the sports of boxing every fighter should be covered. and there are boxing commissions to take care of that. it is not a fighter's obligation to initiate something that is the commission's responsibility. if one fighter is not satisfied or doesn't agree with the commission rules he can choose not to fight if he thinks his life/health is at risk...as simple as that.Comment

thats not a good point ,alot of fighters go that route when moving up in weight to level the playing field between themselves and the fighter theyre fighting a class above (e.g corralles-casamayor).. mayweather did it in his last fight and cheated marquez out of their catchweight, he made his own rule about where the fight should be held, gave NSAC to verify it and bind him to it and broke it when he went 4 pounds over the weight... did u forget that? why dont u ask mayweather why he did that to marquez and force hatton to fight a class above the weight he campaigns... besides the OSDT

Against JMM the original unsigned contracted weight was 144lbs. Floyd didn't sign the contract. Came in the day of the fight at 146. They rewrote the contract, offering JMM $300,000 per lb floyd was overweight. JMM got $600K.
The reason this was done is because in vegas if a fighter comes in over weight the commission have the option to cancel the fight. With floyd needing the money for the IRS and JMM about to make his biggest payday ever they didn't want to cancel.
The floyd manny fight was contracted at 147. To mu knowledge floyd has never fought over that weight except when he weighed 148 for ODH.Comment
