If Paul goes back down to 147lbs and complains because no one wants to fight him, he's the idiot and has no one to blame but himself.

I don't think Cotto is willing to take the fight. I've heard that he's actually turned down a fight with Williams before.

I can't blame him though, Paul is like a black version of Margarito

Going back down to ww, big mistake.
He's a natural ww, no he's not, he started at higher weight classes.
He can come down healthy, no he can't. After putting all that muscle mass it would only hurt him.
If he doesn't get any fights at 154-60. 154 Martinez and quintana. At 160 pavlik.
50-50 vs pavlik, bullsh!+. Pavlik is THE champion at 160 and vs Martinez a good number of people saw it the other way around.

This is just goosen doing what he does best. Bluffing and talking crap

Every time I hear about Paul or his fans wanting him to go back to 147 I just shake my head. What's the point?

You honestly think Mayweather or Pacquiao is gonna fight you?

The best chance he has is to get a fight with Shane Mosley, and Shane has made it clear he doesn't want that fight.

Move on Paul, plenty of fish to fry at 154 and 160.

Why not do a rematch against martinez cause he sure as hell didn't win convincingly. For me martinez beat that ass 115-113 or is that a road williams and his team are not willing to take again and a loss to martinez would sure as hell affect his marketability.

I'd rather see him fight Pavlik, lowest he should go is 154 i don't know how healthy he will be if he drops to 147.

maybe paul knows that martinez has his number. so paul wants to fight the steroid taker paquiao. boxing is on its way to be all screwed up again.paul stay your linky no defense ass up there at 154 or 160.he's just to tall for ww and it will make a bad boring fight no matter who its against.

No one's gonna criticize the fact that he's doing this as soon as Pavlik called him out publicly? I just think that's a little sketchy. I'm not sayin Williams doesnt have a right to be a little hesitant to sign the deal again, but c'mon. Pavlik said he's 100%, and you know if Paul signs the deal this time, the fight is gonna happen, guaranteed. No more hand injuries, no more bull****. Pavlik is healthy again to fight the way he is capable. If the Dec. 5th fight happened you woulda seen a shell of Pavlik, and no one wants to see that fight if both guys aren't giving it their all. So the hand is better now, and the fight is very ready to be inked on the Pavlik side. 50-50 is rediculous, and Arum would be ******ed to agree to something like that. Everyone knows that Kelly is a bigger draw at the gate and on TV. make it 55-45 and sign the deal Paul. There's no reason this fight shouldn't happen now. I don't think anyone can blame Pavlik this time if it doesn't.

For the record again, Kelly didn't duck Paul. The injury was legit.

                      Shane whips williams at 147

After seeing Williams last fight against Sergio, and his first fight against Quintana, Williams has so many offensive and defensive flaws and is very overrated!! Shane would have a field day counterpunching Williams to the head and body, especially on the inside. Williams telegraphs his punches, he leaves his right hand down to low and leads in with his chin up. If he drains himself down to 147 at this point, a strong welterweight will knock him out just like Shane knocked out Margarito in the late rounds.
