Why i wont give Mayweather props if he does beat Manny

You are more likely to run into someone who cant beat you if you consistently fight the best fighters around your weight division, correct ? well Mayweather has not fought Marg, Mosley, Williams, infact who has he fought recently that was regarded a threat in the 147 division

So lets say he beats Pacquiao, then does what after that, nothing? but can proclaim himself to be the best of his era and a greater fighter than Pacquiao ? i dont think so. He will have to fight other challenges before then. Knowing him he will probably fight Shane when he is another how many years older and that will seal a fake career for him.

Pacquiao and Paul Williams stylistically are Mayweather's biggest threats. He won't be considered "Greater" only "Better". Pacquiao will still be the more accomplished of the two.

Another thing I want to mention. Can we really say Pacquiao has faught more variety of styles? Has Pacquiao faced an opponent like Joan Guzman, one who could counter punch, move, match his hand speed and defend well against the ropes? One who isn't gonna stand infront of him...because even Marquez who is a master counter puncher doesn't move.

Well basically yeah.

Think about it. If Pacquiao wins that will surely elevate him to god like status? if Floyd wins he will have just won a one of fight against a great opponent but Floyd has not been consistently fighting the best to come across a potential bad style match, so you have to keep it in perspective if he does win. The reason i say that is because i know a **** load of people will be claiming him to be a better fighter when that does not exactly tell the right story imo.

Yep. Floyd says he wont credit if he wins, they will say he was supposed to win because he is the bigger man.

Its Mayweather himself who is strongly of the opinion that the bigger man should always be able to beat the smaller fighter, that is one of the reasons he is so critical of Leonard losing to Duran, and probably why he made sure JMM was considerably smaller than him, that fight was not long after he cherry picked the smaller Hatton from 140.
