We cannot deny that Pacquiao has a better resume compared to Mayweather but it's a close one.

However, if they decides to go up in the ring then the winner will have the bragging right to proclaim himself and by boxing aficionados' as the best fighter of our era.

    Btw, I’m a Mayweather fan.

Really not all that true. Cuz again Baldomir could of been stripped and probably wouldn't of had the IBF belt. So maybe Floyd wouldn't have obtained it at all. Remember Dariusz got stripped of a title that Roy won later cuz Dariusz couldn't defended 30 days after winning it.

JMM by all accounts is still the lineal LW champ even though he fought at WW. Until you give up the belt to campaign at a higher weight. is when you not the champ anymore. But, Hatton never campaigned at WW. He just had 2 fights in 2 different time span. Is like remember Henry Amrstrong had 3 lineal belts in 3 different weightclass at the same time. And, went up and down in weight defending them. Anyways I hope I didn't lose you but that is how Hatton was still the lineal champ at 140 he never lost it and never gave it up.
Lineal titles are not something you can vacate. I dont think Pavlik should be considered middleweight champion either, since he moved up in weight and got his ass beat. Calling Pac the lineal champ seems cheap to me.

They would if he got beat at 126 or 140 and then won another belt.

And then he would be 8 or 9 time world champion in 7 different weight classes.

Well if the stripping was unjust doesnt that follow the point that he should have been champion anyways? Baldomir should of had that belt and Floyd beat him. Instead he took if from someone else.

                    wbc diamond belt?
                    LOL
The only belt on the line was the WBO, and it should have been, because the fight was not at welterweight.

No they wouldn't of cuz he won another belt at 112 which they don't count. He had the WBC belt. But, everybody looks at it as a lineal rightfully so. Floyd counts extra belts. Oscar is the king of counting extra belts. He is like a 10x world champion. But, we don't count it for Pac. We don't have to. Is a great a resume without doing it.
