I do not consider Floyd a ducker. In his whole career I will say that he only "ducked" two fighters. That would be the man in my sig Stevie "Little but Bad" Johnston, and Paul Spatafora.

The only reason I say this, well Stevie called Floyd out for over two years. Stevie was the man in his division, and had the WBC belt. Floyd stated that he did not want to fight a southpaw at that point in his career, and turned a Johnston fight down. Johnston in the meantime outclassed everyone he was in the ring with (those of you that saw Johnston in his prime know this). Than he fought Castillo. Imo (and many others) Stevie got robbed in the first fight in Mexico, and got some strang scoring in the second fight. Castillo kept his belt, and Floyd came knocking. Ready to fight Castillo, but never again looking Johnstons way.

The Spatafora story is shorter. Pretty much Paul said he put it on Floyd in sparring, they were both at the same weight, why not fight it out right?

Well Floyd never wanted a fight with Paul. Paul basicly bitched him out after every fight. He even pleaded for Floyd after the Manfredy fight (Spadafora vs Manfredy) that he couldn't make weight anymore, and the fight needed to happen soon...Floyd never ever gave it a thought. That is why I laugh at all the Floyd fans that demand a call out. The man has been called out many times.

Stevie is where the ducking started, and Spadafora is where it ended for me. That is why i don't consider Floyd a ducker. After those two situations, that didn't happen that far apart from one another, I realized Floyd was a fighter only about buisness. Not about proving anything.

Would Spadafora and Johnston beat today's Pacquiao?

I don't know who would of won. Cuz fights don't happen on paper. You win fights in the ring. On paper Zab beats Baldomir. In the ring Baldomir won. The point is that they didn't fight...

There was never any discussion about Morales fighting Mayweather. Morales AVOIDED a Nassem Hamed fight at 126 three times. No way he was going to move up to 130 to fight Mayweather. If Floyd was willing to fight Mosley, a guy with a 95 percent KO ratio, in 1999, what makes you think he would avoid a 122 pounder moving up? Floyd was still trying to make a name for himself at at that time and would have fought anybody. He was willing to take on Diego Corrales, a champion at 130, Jesus Chavez and Carlos Hernandez, both of whom became champions later, in consecutive fights, but was afraid of Morales. Bull****!! If you have some proof to back up this claim, please provide it.

Why should I have to provide some proof to a newbie like you. Its like someone wanting proof 10 years from now that Juanma avoid a cabellero fight. True fans of the sport that were watching boxing at the time would have clearly heard about this as it was publish in magazines and mentioned in interviews. I'm not here to school new fans that try to argue with me about things they should have heard about if they followed the sport back then.

to say a guy who fought corrales at 130 ducked a top guy from 122 is plain ******.i talked about 135 cause he moved up in weight an fought bigger challenges at 135 than what morrales could provide.

so again are you saying somehow that morrales, who would be coming up from 122 was somehow a bigger threat than corrales at 130??

fwiw....read an comprehend my brother.i said raheem was his 1 fight against a slick fighter at 130,not his whole career.
why do you keep saying a 122 pound fighter when Morales had statement fights at 126 showing he was a legit fighter at featherweight. It's just like Pac beating Cotto showed that Manny is a legit welterweight. Morales was considered #2 FW and Floyd was the #1 SFW. only 4lbs seperated them and Morales was a top 5 pound for pound fighter.

Since you asked, I define "ducking" as being called out by a fighter and not having a justifiable excuse for not fighting him. Floyd's excuse was that Morales was too small, yet he was willing to fight hamed who was in the same division as El Terrible and a ****in midget at 5'4".

FWIW to say Morales at that time wasn't a bigger threat than chavez and hernandez clearly shows your lack of knowledge on the state of boxing at the time.

You know it's the ****ing truth because while these guys are making counter arguements, you can clearly see the have no idea about the state of boxing back then.

I mean just look at some of the replies. That is why I call them boxrec fans. They are the type that just recently started watching boxing, and reply on boxrec to make up for their lack of knowledge history of the sport.
