Floyd was Harris #1 contender, Harris called him. Floyd fought Bruseles instead. Are you telling me that Brusels was a better opponent than Vivian Harris?
Mayweather would get no more credit for those wins then Victoriano Sosa/ Ndou.

Mayweather had bigger things on his mind, making the move to 135 because Castillo > everyone else.

He then had the same thought for 140, having Tszyu on his radar after cleaning out 135. He fought two fights in order to become the mandatory for the WBC title, which Gatti now had because Tsyzu lost to Hatton. After fighting the biggest money fight available at 140 (Gatti), both Cotto and Hatton declined fights with Mayweather.

Seeing as there were bigger and better things at 147, he moved into the division and fought Judah and Baldomir, who were both the top rated welterweights at the time. Baldomir > Margarito because Margarito was coming off of a loss and had no damn belt worth mentioning, while Baldomir was the lineal champ of the division with the WBC and Ring titles.

He now sets his sights on Oscar, the biggest money fight at the time. After which he does the same for Hatton, another money generating fight; not going to knock him for those.

He's now back and is aiming for his number 1 spot again, inevitably fighting the fighters that will place him and keep him at that spot.

Didn't Floyd say he'd love to fight Lazcano, Johnston and Spadafora? I often wonder why some fights truly didn't happen, because there is a lot of behind the scenes info that we will never know. He also said he tried to make the Casa fight happen but negotiations didn't go anywhere, so I don't know about that Casamayor quote....you can never know who to believe in this sport.

I must say that Floyd is more avoided than he is given credit for...
