Listen up.
What you accuse Calzaghe of is holding onto a strap and avoiding strong opposition, correct?
So why are you under the impression that he is the only fighter in the business to do this?
Think about what I said in my previous post and reconsider your argument.
As far as I know, Echols pulled out. Some of the fights Joe had, they were late replacements, such as Pudwill. What the **** did Calzaghe have to gain by fighting people like him? Absolutey nothing! You guys act like he struggled with low-level opposition, too. Fact is, he demolished most of them easily. If he had struggled with **** fighters, you might actually have some good points, but that wasn't the case.
He is also dissed on the regular for fighting Veit twice. Well, that was because it was a mandatory, just like Morrade Hakkar was to Bernard Hopkins. Do you really think Hopkins wanted to fight the likes of Hakkar? I don't. I'm pretty sure he wanted better names and better paydays, as most fighters do. Problem is, it doesn't work out like that all the time. This ain't a fantasy, it's a business.
You guys are welcome to your opinions, I honestly don't care, but there are politics involved in boxing. Realize. It isn't as easy as you're making it out to be. PLENTY of fighters avoided Calzaghe because they knew he had a difficult style to beat. And the very least you could say about Calzaghe, no matter what you think of him, is that he beat 46 different styles. And styles make fights.
I ain't saying any more about this, it's boring and been done to death. You guys are ****ing obsessed with Joe Calzaghe and it's sickening. Change the record.
