Because it's easy to do after Kessler lost recently, a lot of his resume is against **** fighters but find me a fighter who hasn't fought them, look at Toney for example. To lock down a division for 10 years is impressive despite who you face and especially impressive when you're fighting with ****ed up hands when the doctor said you could never fight again. Hopkins has a much better resume? I just don't see it. They are pretty much equal, Hopkins fought bigger names, not better fighters and lost to some in the processs.
You know why? Because none of them wanted to ****ing fight Joe when they actually held titles! That is why! Think about it. When they were "on top", so to speak", they actually had something to lose, and they knew this. When they lost, they suddenly want to fight Joe? FFS. This is blindingly obvious.
I ain't making excuses for Joe, he made some bad moves in his career and should have kicked Warren to the kerb much sooner, but you guys twist **** up to suit your agenda and because of ignorance.
So I guess that explains why Calzaghe pulled out of fights with Glen Johnson and avoided Tarver when Tarver was calling him out. I don't know the full story with the other guys I mentioned. I just know Calzaghe fought a guy in Brewer who had got beaten by Echols. Couldn't he have fought Echols instead? Or was Echols ducking him too? And the sad thing is, Calzaghe probably would've beaten all these guys, but he still never fought them.

Tarver talked mad **** about Joe and told him to cross the pond. This was after Tarver had beaten Roy Jones. I guess you don't read B-Talk that much huh?
Calzaghe really was not very established when Tarver was on top.
Yeah, but Tarver expressed interest in fighting Calzaghe after Joe had whipped Jeff Lacy. I know Calzaghe mentioned Tarver in the Showtime post fight interview of his win over Lacy. But whoever's fault it was that that fight didn't happen, the bottom line is it is a fight missing on Calzaghe's resume that would've been good. And then if Calzaghe won, Hopkins would've had to fight Joe for the belt, and not the other way around.

So how was he "avoiding" Tarver then? You just stomped on your own point. Ooops.
