It is in my opinion too. Being a pretty pure sport I always think that if you transported a caveman to present time to watch a boxing match he would pretty much understand it, I guess 100 metres sprint would qualify too but there arn't too many sports like that.
I struggle to understand baseball and american football now!

I thought he was the toughest man I ever saw and ignored my Dad telling me about some Joe Louis fellow
Like I say not the best fighter you ever saw but a nostalgic thing, and yes he was a tough guy.
Joe Baksi !!!! You know who he fought eh..?

Volodymyr Palahniuk aka 'Jack Palance' the actor in City Slickers

Fighting under the name Jack Brazzo, Palance reportedly compiled a record of 15 consecutive victories with 12 knockouts before fighting the future heavyweight contender Joe Baksi in a "Pier-6" brawl. Palance lost a close decision,[5][6] and recounted: "Then, I thought, you must be nuts to get your head beat in for $200".

      • Also boxing related, Palance got his first big break by breaking Marlon Brando's nose, by accident, while hitting a heavybag in the basement of the theatre they were working in while doing the play 'A Streetcar Named Desire"

Brando couldn't play the lead role cuz of this, Palance who was his understudy got to play the lead and got great reviews.

Look at that handsome Ukrainian devil lol

I understand they have an agenda. But as I've already said, two wrongs don't make a right. Sports and sport fans should be color blind. Just my opinion.

You are appraoching the issue from a point of undeniably while my point is we are denied all too often and accepted all too late.

In other words you can't deny the truth but people do their best to discredit the accomplishments of black fighters.
Tyson & Leonard are the only exceptions to the rule.
no, I cannot agree with that. I am white and my favorite boxer is Roy Jones Jr. I discredit Calzaghe and the Wlad Klitschko because I think they are not only bad fighters but the get way too much credit. and I think that is how it is in MOST cases. what you are doing is looking at the exceptions and making them the rule.

fact is, a lot of white posters in this forum have black fighters as their favorites. I don't think I've ever seen it the other way around.
