True, and VERY trueThe Pacquiao has a better resume than Mayweather comment is all hype from his wins against De La Hoya, Hatton, and Cotto. Two of those Floyd had already beat first, Cotto being underdog against a former Featherweight says it all. Imagine Mayweather being underdog against Marquez? Funny thing is Mayweather also came from the lower weights and is held to higer standards than a career 140-147 pounder in Cotto. Floyd has been fighting champions and former champions since the 90s.
This is boxingscene though, so you can't speak with logic and expect for posters to agree with you.Comment

And the weight thing is not a fair comparison because manny started his career at 16 if mayweather would have done the same than we would be having a different convo. Mayweather was fighting at a similar weight at 16 and under the same circumstances would have been able to pick up the same number of belts if not arguably more. Thats a misleading commentYou honestly believe floyd has better resume?
Just think about this... go in every division and try to dominate the best or one of the best fighter in that division, and continue to keep doing this until you climb up 8 division- I bet the farther you go up it gets harder...
Just really think about it imagine floyd going up to fight kessler or abraham in Super Middle weight.Comment

The problem with floyd fans is that they equate recognizable names that they know with great fighters. With the exception of old oscar & old marquez, floyd really has no true great fighters in his resume.
You have recognizable names like corrales, gatti, judah, & ricky hatton, but none of those fightes are true great fighters. floyd has a lot of good fighters in his resume. no greats except for an old oscar & old marquez who he had to fight 3 division above.Comment

that's an excuse... but unfortunately he didn't. It woulda shoulda coulda. He could either do well or he could have lost fighting these pro fighters - he did lose about 6x in his amateur career? And the weight thing is not a fair comparison because manny started his career at 16 if mayweather would have done the same than we would be having a different convo.
