Because he dominated baldomir the lineal champ and manfredy while morales just lost to zahir raheem and many felt he lost the fight to marquez. He barely sc****d out that win against marquez Thats why I feel that way. Manfredy was a top fighter at that time and had recently knocked out arturo gatti therefore I would put that as a good win especially at that phase of floyd's career.
Baldomir is nothing but a regular fighter nothing special he beat a 4 round fight in Judah and a shot Gatti.

I still think a dominating performance over undefeated corrales is a greater win than a barely get passed (loss in my opinion) win over marquez and a win over morales in their second fight after he was coming off a UD loss. But the barrera win was a legacy maker.
