Thats because Cotto was also a draw in this fight, one fighter can't sale this many payper-views. May jr. says that he was the only draw when ever he fought marquez the reason people watch may's fight is to see him lose. Also marquez is a bigger draw than mayweather. Marquez is one of the best fighters coming out of Mexico he is also loved in alot of our mexican states for example LA,texas,chicago ect.

you guys have to remember a critical point. That is, that until mayweather fought oscar his fights always "stunk out the house" with half empty arenas and paying customers leaving before his fights were finished etc.

He fights much the same way today as before, and the drawing power he has depends mainly on his "fishmouth" and the carefully protected "o".

People don't come to see an excellent, skilful fight, they come because of the opponent's drawing power, and the desire to see mayweather beaten, so that his very disliked persona can be legitimately criticised.
