You guys have to remember a critical point. That is, that until Mayweather fought Oscar his fights ALWAYS "stunk out the house" with half empty arenas and paying customers leaving before his fights were finished etc.

He fights much the same way today as before, and the drawing power he has depends mainly on his "fishmouth" and the carefully protected "O".

People don't come to see an excellent, skilful fight, they come because of the opponent's drawing power, and the desire to see Mayweather beaten, so that his very disliked persona can be legitimately criticised.

Why would Mayweather fight Oscar @ 154 with Oscar weighing 160lbs and being a much better fighter than Cotto but not fight the easy to hit Cotto? Lets be objective here...nobody is ducking Cotto.....

He better. Even though i am a bigger Floyd fan, Floyd has to understand that Manny is the attraction. Who do most people wan't to see, a guy that plays it safe or somebody who comes in to take your head off. I'd understand Floyd wanting more before Manny fought Cotto but now, Manny SHOULD definately get more money. I mean he beat ( DECISIVELY ) the guy that Floyd didn't wan't to face.

Good objective post bro. See, not all Floyd fans are as delusional as Floyd is. I love Floyd's talent, I just wish I could see it against prime opposition. He better not derail these negotiations. Who would he fight anyway? I suspect Arum is going to play hardball because Pac has more options than Floyd - while Pac can fight a above average but still not elite boxer and attract attention because he has challenged himself over the last few years I doubt Floyd can do the same and attract attention from the public at large.
