More people would paid to see Pac fight Cotto than who paid to see Mayweather fight Marquez. That is comparing apples to oranges and doesn't make sense. To answer your question, there were more casual fans paying to see Mayweather/Oscar and Mayweather/Hatton than there were watching to see Pacquaio fighting those guys.

the only time floyd got more than 400k ppv buys was his last 3 fights.

floyd's 130 and 135 fights were not even on ppv that i remember.

i think his 1st ppv was gatti at 140 and that didn't do 400k.

Did these guys forget? JMM-PBF was postponed of it's first sked... it needed more months to promote this fight, if their ticket sales was having a hard time selling...so is the PPV buys for JMM-PBF.

Because people didn't think it would be competitive like you just said. Marquez is not the draw Cotto is, and the fight was looked at as "competitive" "fight of the year". It sold 250k more than May/Marq? I thought the fight should of done better, Mayweather makes people watch, he draws mainstream customers. Manny doesn't draw as much on his own.
