Explain
what was the highest selling fight ever at 140 and under before pacquiao-hatton?
answer?
pacquiao-marquez 2
btw 1st pac-jmm fight was not on ppv. 2nd pac-jmm fight did about 400-450k i think.
they held mayweather-marquez the weekend of the mexican independence day. to say marquez didn't play a part in that is just plain silly.
the crowd who watched it live was predominantly mexican-americans except for the rapper and celebrities ringside.

Everyone from Pac's promoter to the announcers on HBO to the haters on this site thought this fight would do between 1.5 and 2 million PPVs and at least beat ODLH/Trinidad, which took place in 1999 when satellite and the internet were not big factors in boxing. It did 200,000 more than Mayweather's fight against Marquez. Pac is the attraction on this site, but obviously not on PPV.

Lol @ 2 foreign fighters making more than Floyd. At first it was Marquez had all of Mexico behind him. Now it's that it was all Floyd and nobody paid to watch Marquez. Wow this guy gets better and better everytime. I can't wait for Pacquiao to get rid of him once and for all. To officially save boxing from that fraud.

That's a rhetorical question. But yeah...go ahead and answer it anyways.

Seriously, if you were a casual fan and you saw both Floyd's and Pac's last fights? Who would you pay to see next? Answer honestly.

Merely 150k more than Number One-Numero Uno. Not what I expected, but still calls for a 50-50 split.
