America Doesn't "own" British Boxing... Quite the contrary.
I said America owns Britain in boxing, and we do. Look at the ratio of British to American in the top 10 fighters in every weight class.

We...own...you. There's no two ways about it. So don't disrespect America again by saying we ain't tough. Hell no.

You need to learn how to pay attention also. I said it would be dumb to compare Americans and Brits in American Football because we play it a lot more and have played it for longer and are better at it. In the same way it would be dumb to bring up London rules boxing and Queensbury rules an all this bull**** that people don't even care about anymore.

The international sport of boxing doesn't use those rules anymore.

There is no denying this. And the only reason that America doesn't do better is because boxing isn't very popular here right now.

hmmm...we do import a lot of fighters though. But I think the latinos are the best imports. I'd rather have Barrera or Morales than Scott Harrison. Rather have Judah than Witter. Rather have Mayweather than Hatton. Rather have Lacy than Calzaghe. Rather have Hopkins than Eastman. Jones than DM.

Rather have Lewis than Ruiz though. But **** it, rather have Toney than Lewis.

The International sport of boxing doesn't use the Marquis of Queensberry rules???...

You're on the wrong website mate, This is a boxing website.

How can you be a boxing fan and not know what the Marquis of Queensberry rules are? - (And then say that international boxing isn't governed by the Marquis of Queensberry rules anymore??? ).

At this point I think I'll give up with you... LOL!...

I would suggest that you do a little research, and find out a bit more about the sport you're into.

The contest in all other respects to be governed by the revised rules of the London Prize Ring. This is a "Queensbury rule".

Sorry, but hardly any boxing is governed by any London source. It may have some base in these rules, but the official rules of boxing are no longer referred to as Queensbury or London.

Few people have even heard of these rules. Good for you if you have, but I actually do box and have never heard of them. If my credibility is to be ruined by not knowing such a fact, then so is 75% of boxing fans.

Pehaps you should do some research. You still have no response or any way to back up what you said about Americans having no tough guys. I could more strongly make the case about England, since it does have less fighters in the top in just about every weight class than America. This was my point all along, which you have still been unable or unwiling to acknowledge.

Sorry fella, but you gonna need to read up on it further... London Prize ring rules stopped being used in the 1850's.

ALL BOXING IS GOVERNED BY THE MARQUIS OF QUEENSBERRY RULES - THOSE ARE THE RULES OF BOXING!

Few people have even heard of these rules. Good for you if you have, but I actually do box and have never heard of them. If my credibility is to be ruined by not knowing such a fact, then so is 75% of boxing fans.
I don't wanna sound harsh here but it's true, 75% of boxing fans don't know the in's and out's of what boxing really is about (You seem to be falling into that catagory). How can you box and have never been taught the Marquis of Quensberry rules?... SHOCKING! ... I don't wanna be rude, but it sounds like you're doing back garden boxing?

Pepsi Cola, Macdonalds, Pizza, Computer games, etc, etc, It's very niave to not see the corruption behind the boxing scene's (seeing as it's so obvious!). It's prize fighting at the end of the day, professional boxing is not a sport, it's prize fighting. Amateur boxing, Yeah sure that's a sport. But not in the pro ranks.

It's all about money, and where it's coming from... And that all tends to fall on the American TV networks. They're paying for it and the American people don't wanna pay to see a Thai fight a Russian. So it's made up!... P4P the best fighters in the World aren't Americans... They're Mexicans and Thai's And Pueto Rican's, and many other Countries...

                      It's a business... Not a sport.
