I agree with mOOks. People don't teenagers and up don't street fight anymore, they kill. Even middle school kids are killing each other over scuffles. I remember watching on the news how one kid had it written out how he was going to lure his classmate into the bathroom and kill him. He did end up killing him and if I remember correctly, the last step in his "murder plan" was "Thank god for success."

Most of the people only start fighting when they are cornered.
The same goes to boxing. These days there are hundreds of easier ways to make money than in fifties. People are not cornered anymore. Also you have to be very mentally strong to go through the hell of trainings. And that is rare to find these days mainly because life is so mich better than it used to be.

Either just plain ******* or running in gangs with guns and ****. Anything that is hard they will stay away from or look for easier avenues to achieve what ever it is they seek. I see the gang life as being the easy way out leading to a life of nowhere and nothing. Americas youth, for the most part is weak..............Rockin'
I would agree with that, most "tough guys" now take pride in running with a gang, carrying guns and knives, etc. Basically taking pride in living the life of a coward, taking the easy way out of life by taking other people's things instead of working for them, and keeping themselves surrounded with tons of other cowards like them because they don't even have it in them to properly rob someone lol

Many kids are children of single parents, usually mothers. That has a lot to do with it I think. Since the US is less family oriented, neighborhoods are less friendly. Are you friends with your neighbors? I don't even know any of my neighbors' names, except my grandparents' neighbors.

Since there are single parents, kids are at home alone a lot more. So, they stay home and watch TV, play games, etc. Not to mention the fact that video games are better than they used to be, technology is better. I thought I played video games a lot when I was a kid. But really, I played them more since I was like 16-17 when I got my playstation, ps2, etc. Games got memory cards, more memory on the discs themselves, so they got more complicated, took longer to play. Are more life-like.

It is definitely a different world. Bored middle school kids go over to their friends' house whose single mom is at work and know what they do? They ****. Boys **** girls in the ass...that's their version of birth control. **** her in the ass, you don't have to buy condoms and the girl doesn't get pregnant. Scary but true.
Man I must have really missed out. I didn't get to **** girls in the ass when i was little. I would have been happy with a ******* or two. Now you tellin me kids are doing there girlfriends up the butt at 13 or 14. Damn I cant wait for those little hoes to grow up.

ROCKIN .... blah, blah, blah ..... you're old, face it. It isn't that way any more. And you don't make it any better, do you, by imposing old-guy laments on this young media. Suck it up and move-over, we're "here" and you are "there". You had the good times back in the 80's when the Middle scene was rich with tough guys who set a very high standard for today's fighters. The only division that compares is today's Feathers, who seem to be thow-backs to your time, when guys actually fought. But don't treat us like we're wimps, 'cause we remember the tough guys of the 80's, plus we keep our guns oiled for hunting season only.

                Peace, really.

Somebody's daddy is gonna' beat the living **** outa' you, if you plan to put that **** in action, really. "Hoes" is a word that usally describes the daughters of guys who use that word.

If you plant those seeds, "boxerman", your children will live them.

Highschools instructed about the proper ways of self defense and well, kids were tougher back then. What is it, in todays society that makes parents believe that teaching a young kid or young man to defend himself is so wrong. Today, instead of any thing physical, it seems that kids are pampered and given television video games to pass there time. There are tough kids out there, many I am sure. But nothing close to the yester-years. The people running in the gangs are tough, I am sure, but there is no honor in that life unless your goals are to be a street thug. So where is the honorable young man with the tougness, with the grit and heart of a champion. Being raised on computers, video games, fast food and pampering, todays youth are just simply no longer tough. Where have all of the tough guys gone.............Rockin'

NAUT ... look closer to home my friend.

Admit it, now. We latch-on to certain fighters because they fight our fights. You know what I mean. Every fight fan has some connection with a pro fighter (Pac, Tyson, Naz, Roy, Kostya, Tua, anybody) that we can't quite explain. Except that we've all been busted-up in some strange ****ed-up way, somewhere in our past, and now we try to set things straight by proppin' a guy who fights solid and represents.

Tough guys are everywhere, but we usually don't see them because they choose not to fight.
