You absolutely right. Pac is gr8 cuz of who he faced and beat, and how he did so. The stats on titles are just for detail.
140? How does that work? He fought Hatton who was coming off a loss to Floyd and a win against Paulie. How was Hatton linear? The only belt he has was the IBO belt....

At 126 the only belt Pac had was the IBF, which he won from Lucero...he drew with Marquez and Barrera didnt even have a belt.
At 112, he beat Chatchai Sasakul, for the WBC.
3 of the 4 you suggested were not linear welterweight titles.
Being considered the best at a given weight and winning the lineal title are different things.

Please remember: when Floyd came back in September, a lot of people voted him #1 p4p. You or I may not agree with that. But those people have a platform.

I thought that bringing Mayweather's name up constantly on Saturday night was a bit unfair to Pac. All people wanted to talk about was Floyd. It was also unfair to Miguel cause they treated him like some gatekeeper.
PBFs legacy, or best oppenent hes beat is either, DLH, Hatton or baldomir. Pick which one you want.
Since Pac beat Barrera all those years back he has been like a steam train, dispcatching everything in his way. He had a couple of minor hiccups against great opponents though that is about all. He has done more basically than PBF.
PBF cant retire without fighting Pac on the other hand, because PBF wants to be somewhere Pac is, and not the other way around. Pac dont want to be where PBF is.

Alis legacy didnt rest on his performance against Ken Norton. His legacy was achieved long before.

I agree in a way. It would be huge if Pac beat Floyd. But if Floyd beats Pac he needs to beat Mosley to complete his legacy. That works both ways

that is dumbest thing i've heard. His wins over Hernandez and Corrales trumps Hatton!

Pacman cannot not fight Floyd and take claim as the best of his era. he only been hot a couple yrs and that is from floyd leftovers.

Floyd is right, yall see what yall wanna see!
