Ross Greenburg: "until Pacquiao beats Mayweather, his legacy is not complete". AGREE?

That said, should Pacquiao and Mayweather never square off, their legacies will not be complete, Greenburg said.

“Pacquiao’s place in history is rising on a daily basis,” he said. “But he can only complete it by taking that next step. And it’s an obvious next step. Until he beats Floyd Mayweather, his legacy’s not cemented. And the same goes for Floyd, against Pacquiao.”

I know that this forum will agree that Floyd's legacy is incomplete. This website seems very anti-Mayweather. I was interested to know if you agree that people would say "what if..." or "but he didn't face Mayweather..." in the future as they talk about Pacquiao.

I disagree. IMO legacy-wise, Pac > Floyd, even with Floyd beating Pac.

Greenburg just wants that big cut from the fight.

Pac's resume is good the way it is.

No, but its very important that the two best fighters of our time fight.

Very much disagree because Manny has already superseded what was expected of him. Floyd has been calling himself the greatest fighter of all time and he has failed to sign the fights the public and the critics wanted to see.

If Manny was to retire today, his legacy would be intact and there would be nothing you could say negative about him. You can't say the same about Floyd though.

I don't hear a lot of people complaining about who Pacquiao should fight more than I've heard it about Mayweather for the past few years.

I mean, we waited and waited for a Cotto vs Floyd fight. Meanwhile this former Featherweight climbs up weight classes and in the span of 2 yrs from fighting at 130lbs fights Cotto (Top 1-2 Welterweight in the world) and demolishes him.

Pacquiao's already proven he can do the unthinkable. Beating Mayweather IMO is icing on the cake. Huge win, but not legacy defining fight, we saw that last Saturday.

If Pac doesnt fight Floyd we will look back on this and his resume and it will not be complete. Great? Sure.
But if this fight doesnt happen there is a gap in both of their resumes.

No, Mayweather is a legacy defining fight.
                  Far moreso than Miguel Cotto.
