See threads where I've ridiculed Cottards unmercifully or driven Klitschko-Stans so far over the edge that they got themselves banned. I used to smack around the Tyson KoolAid drinkers but since they've been pretty quiet over the past year or so they've dropped off my radar screen. Ultimately it's blind, unreasoning fanaticism for a fighter that blinds a person's objectivity that I detest.

I have seen you do that, so you treat them all equally so I can accept that since there is no double standard. Like I said we have had good talks beforeand it is fine that we disagree on Floyd, I just thought you were being a little harsh.

I was also one of the main people in this thread on Floyd's side so I just wanted to defend my stance. I really dislike when criticism goes way beyond what is valid, which is why I tend to be on Floyd's side a lot but i try to keep it inline with reality (some would disagree with me on that though, but hey that is their right).

The thing is, if it wasn't for his deluded nuthuggers (and I'm not saying you're one of them: There's a HUGE difference between being a fan and being a nuthugger) and their inane threads Floyd wouldn't catch anywere near the flack he does. Post after post and thread after thread making rediculous claims about Floyd and we should all worship him. Don't believe me? Check the list of NSB threads from the past year and you'll see.

And that's fair enough! I have plenty of friends on this site that are legitimate Tyson fans without being a KoolAid drinker and I have great discussions with them about him.

For the record, I DO think Mayweather is an ATG just not one who cracks the top-5 in any of the weight classes he's fought in or any mythical p4p list. It's when you have people talking about him being better than Robinson or Leonard or being the best skilled fighter ever (especially when I can pull two or three names just from the past fifteen who were better) is when I feel the need to burst a few bubbles.

Since I actually like Floyd I mostly just see the hate ones, they are exactly the same people though just different sides of the same coin. I have seen some people say some outlandish **** though both ways, and it is a two way street that only goes downhill because one just makes the other side come back with more outlandish **** making things worse and worse. You are right that it is almost impossible to have a decent discussion about him though because of this.

Floyd is without a doubt the fighter that get praised like none other and gets **** on like none other, although recently I really do not think he has that many fans since liking him around here is not the cool thing.

Well I think you can make a case for Floyd being very high on the 130 pound list. Your view is fair enough though, I rate him a little higher but he is still well short of the top tier guys but what would the world be if everyone had the exact same opinion.

A lot of Pac fans here trying to make excuses why their idol should avoid Floyd.

A lot of that Floyd brings on himself though. He DOES talk smack and then doesn't back it up (except against Hatton which I gave Floyd props for). Then guys like Flawless and Horus come on here and act just like their hero acts. That offputting to say the least.

I tend to view Floyd as a Lightweight rather than a Welter. The problem with either division is that their top-5s are incredibly hard to crack. Hell, even the top-10 is a real chore at Welterweight considering how many great Welters there've been over the years.
