have found that people who like Floyd either don't really care or listen to what he says or actually like what he says. the ones who like what he says are probably the ones you really dislike. I really only care about what goes on in the squared circle (unless someone really commits an unforgivable crime).

If you dislike the loudmouth sort I can certainly understand being put off by Mayweather.

I will say this though I would have laughed at anyone 7 or 8 years ago that would have told me Mayweather would be this huge star in the sport. I don't exactly understand how he generates such feelings in individuals with his words since he is an awful speaker, the only thing I can figure is that he is very annoying and him speaking is like finger nails on a chalk board the longer he drones on the angrier it makes people (it has been a constant drone for like 5 years I figure it started around the Gatti fight since that was really the first time I remember him really running his mouth been a constant since though).

Yea there ain't no way Floyd is cracking the 147 pound list unless the rest of his career is sick.

135 is a very tough list to crack also and really no shame in not being able to get very high but Floyd would be way higher at 135 then 147 there is no doubt.

no, we simply doubt why he should get first billing over the real legit WWs at the moment. he is bringing nothing on the table. cash wise? initial estimates have the pac-cotto fight at 2 million buys. what is floyd leverage? he's a beltless LW.

Its the fight everyone wants to see. Make it happen.

All I ask is that the people who say that Floyd shouldn't get the fight because he is undeserving, should not go around saying that Floyd is "ducking" the fight.

It's not so much that he talks trash it's that he doesn't actually deliver on it. That's what separates Floyd from someone like Hopkins who talks **** like crazy but when he gets in the ring he actually does what he says he's going to do or dies trying. It's okay to talk smack if you back it up or at least make the effort to back it up (as sometimes one's opponent has some say in the matter). Talking smack about doing something in the ring then delibrately doing the exact opposite is what sticks in my craw.

i've laid out the facts. ruminate on them. the best fight for pac is the winner between SSM and Berto for the lineal WW belt. floyd is not in the ww equation. he should stay at LW.

He just doesn't have the track record at 147. Welter has historically been the best weight class in boxing and the standards are extremely high.

Did not vote on it but Floyd needs Pac more.

I say Pac should just fight Mosley.
