Haye Outpoints Valuev in Tedious Fashion, Snatches Title

I really didn't think it was that close. Valuev barely landed anything of note and took some big shots in most of the rounds. Am I supposed to give credit for missed punches and superior height now? I had it 116 - 112 like the two judges who scored it for Haye. It certainly wasn't a fantastic performance, but it was a good example of getting tactics right.Comment

I definetly wouldnt say Haye took anymore risks than Floyd in that fight. If anything he played it safer and threw 1/10th of the punches. Sure the opponents probably presented different risks.....in fact I dont like the comparison at all. But Haye was the one not opening up.He was one-handed for most of the fight because his right hand was badly injured in the second round. Even so, he tried to KO Valuev, hurt him several times, and came closer to putting him down than anyone ever has before. Floyd never goes for the knock-out unless it's completely risk-free. He could have KO'd Marquez if he'd been willing to take any risks to do it, but he wasn't.Comment

Green K. At least those dudes throw punches.
Im not trying to **** on Haye here because I like him and think hes exciting normally. I understand he was fighting an awkward fighter, but that was a truley dreadful fight to watch.Comment
