Do you dispute that his resume leaves a hell of a lot to be desired?
Yeah, it's not like future Hall Of Famers Toney and Hopkins were good fighters, or even bums like that Olympic Silver Medalist Virgill Hill, who made 20 title defences all in all at LHW.

Or how about tomato cans, like the 27-0 Julio Cesar Gonzalez, future world champion Clinton Woods, or like world amature champions like Antonio Tarver.

And any 175 fighter could beat that bum John Ruiz, who holds wins over the likes of Hasim Rahman, who knocked out Lennox Lewis in turn.

What a **** resume, that really is!

Bert's ratings are crap. But yet he has Jack Dempsey at Number #9 of all time.

Almost 25% of his list is made up of fighters who's careers spanned thru the 70's or after.

Get me a history book from 1862 and I find ways to smother the wins of those great fighters.
On that list are fighters, that couldn't even touch Roy Jones.

Get me the fighters on that list, who beat roy jones.
A few of the greatest heavies. A half hand below and that's it.

You could put any notable fighter anywhere you want if you can come up with some logical reason......but Bert is old so I give him a pass for grossly overrating fighters he grew up watching.

he followed boxing in a different time than you guys, so his "bias" for older fighters makes some sense.

Griffin ....beating Roy while lying on the canvas by disqualification...great argument

Calzaghe...who of these boxers was succesful at 39? Tell me 5 out of 100
should be easy, shouldn't it? have fun

I agree. He seems to romanticize the fighters from the old days a bit much.
